Hello everyone! I've been lurking for far too long! I have been on the board for a couple of weeks now, benefiting from all the wonderful insights and advice!
Thanks to a lucky change of plans, we are going to Orlando the day after the last day of school! I know this isn't the best time to go, but it is a spur-of-the-moment trip for us (I'm big into planning!)
We are driving down from NC. Because of our family's size we decided to rent a vacation home. It is in Rolling Hills, which doesn't look far from the action on Mapquest.
My parents are meeting us for a long weekend, then we are on our own for the remaining days.
Here is my schedule so far...please be frank and honest with your advice if you think this is too much or I picked a bad place. It is already difficult to get reservations for things because of our large party (even with dividing into two tables) The sooner I make plans the better!
Sat-arrival, just settle in, play at the pool, pizza delivered
Sun-parents arrive in the a.m. Have appointments at the boutique for the girls, boys are going to hang out at the Lego store, walk Disney Downtown,
lunch at Downtown Disney (suggestions?) Then we have ADR for Konas, then a Wishes cruise from the Polynesian
Mon- MK, lunch at Crystal Palace,
Tues- DMS (is that the abbreviation for MGM studios?), lunch at Sci Fi Diner
Wed- EP-Dinner at Ohanas
Thurs- AK or Seaworld
Fri-Beach
Sat-DMS-Fantasmic Dinner, Hollywood and Vine
Sun-Rest and/or go to a favorite park-eat remaining food at the home
Mon-Rest and/or go to a favorite park -same as above
Tues-head for home
Again, thanks to everyone! I never knew such advanced planning was needed for Disney, I'm so glad a friend directed me to the website!
