An Infant and the In-laws. This Should Be Fun.....

Hello Everyone: I am the newbie in this crowd. To make this trip I gave up re-runs of the Deadliest Catch:happytv: and endless hours for playing Spider Solitaire. :surfweb: Heather is concerned that some of the food at V&A will be over the top for me. I doubt that V&A can match my dining experience in Tunisia. I was served a meal of green sauce over squid. :scared: Let me explain. Take one squid and chop into small pieces. Boil squid to the texture of a gummy bear. Green sauce is seaweed dried to a powder and mixed with olive oil. Cook sauce till texture and flavor of crankcase oil from a 75 Buick. Pour oil over gummy squid and dig in. Serve with two bottles of water and three loves of French bread because thats what it took for me to down a serving of this delicacy. I am still trying to calculate the cost of V&A and have visited the local bank about a second mortgage. :teacher: After eight glasses of wine it won't matter.:dance3: Geek #1 and #2 are busy deciding which roller coasters I should ride. They settled on something called Aerosmith. I would prefer something called Beatlesmith.:cool1: This will be a great trip because I will be with the family. :grouphug:

Yea!!! Poppy's here! :cheer2: I am getting EXCITED!!!! Victoria & Alberts is one of the top things I'm looking forward to the most! I LOVE food and the fact that I get to experience V&A's with two other "foodies" is a happy day for me. Thank you Poppy!!

I consider myself officially on vacation as of 5:00pm on Thursday May 1st. And the time between now and then has now hit the point of flying by. It always feels like FOREVER till the next Disney vacation then we get down to the last two weeks and they go FAST due to trying to get everything done that needs to get done between home stuff :laundy: and items on my "to do" list at work:surfweb: . Pretty hectic time till I actually board that plane headed to Florida....but totally worth it.
Chris is right when she says I'm looking forward to time with family and the food......:cloud9: ......I love the food. The churros, the double vanilla bean creme brulee (Brown Derby), the chocolate dipped strawberries, the ice cream Mickey heads, etc......I can feel my thighs dimpling as I think about it. But all the walking we do there counteracts the calories right? Oh well, the food is TOTALLY worth it!!!
Keep it coming Chris! The trippie is great!!!!

:surfweb: I'm sitting here sipping a cup of my favorite Joe and wondering...should I take my own coffee with me? Since I quit smoking I've transferred my addiction. Will I be able to find something other than NesCafe at CBR? I guess I can make do with the in-room coffee because it will be way to early in the morning for me to make a trek out of the way to get some. Or will it???? Should I plan on making the trip to the Poly every morning for some of the good stuff? No, probably not. Oh well. I'll be at WDW :cloud9:.

I LOVE the picture of Dylan! Alex is one of the 'more ready' ones, too. Here's how he dressed himself for school this morning:

Sorry they're blurry. Stupid camera :headache: .

To answer your question, yes, I was a big party pooper and made him take off the mask and rebutton his shirt before school.

In exactly one week we'll be on a plane headed for Florida!!!!!!!!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

How did poppy get saddled with taking Dylan to the Dr. for shots. :headache: I'm supposed to hold him while the Dr gives him a shot in each leg. I think Not. No one is posting and now this. Where is all the pre-trip fun:confused3 I must declare myself disappointed :snooty: To daughter I say "traitor child I must despise you now";) ;)

The Governor just called and I have a reprieve.:goodvibes The daughter is taking Dilly to the Dr. for his shots. :headache: I will now remove the curse that I placed on her last night.:scared1: I was so traumatized by yesterday that I had to seek professional help. I have a standing appointment. Dr. Twinkie said I had lost the Magic and given in to the Dark Force. Home remedies did nothing - clicking my heals together --joining hands with my other personalities and singing Kum-by-yah:grouphug: Nothing worked till the good Dr. told me to say "I Believe" everytime I had a dark thought. It appears to be working. Dylan shots "I Believe"--The IRS will not find that other set of books  "I Believe". Yes yes its working I Believe.

Ok, to clarify what is going on here:

The 2yr old in our group has a nasty little sinus infection. I opted for the 3 days of antibiotic shots as we have no way of keeping this meds cold if we went the oral route. The shots not only go into the muscle of both legs but the medicine itself stings. It's bad for the lil guy, but a necessary evil. Poppy was at the doctor's office for the first round and I thought he might pass out watching Dylan get his shots, didn't help that the entire time Dylan was crying and calling out "Poppy!" expecting Poppy to rescue him from the mean, evil nurses. It was more then a soft-hearted Grandpa could handle. It was after all this that I informed Poppy that as the rest of us are frantically trying to tie up loose ends at our respective places of employment and he may be the only option to bring him to the next two rounds of shots:scared: . Needless to say the reaction I got from that (read above quote).........

Yes, Poppy got the call to say he does NOT have to take the boy to get his shots. Chris and I are working hard to make sure this trip is "magical" for the Poppy and I didn't think this would be a very good starter to his Disney vacation:) .

Wow. I knew ahead of time that we'd be taking quite a bit of stuff for a 3 month old spending 8 days at WDW. I'm glad we bought an extra 30" suitcase. I laid out all her supplies on our full-sized pool table. It covered half of it.

Think I can fit it all in one suitcase? Check it out! :woohoo:

One person down, three to go! There's nothing like waiting until the last minute! :laundy:

Just giving you a little BUMP in hopes of an update!

*knock, knock* :badpc: Anyone home in there?

We didn't get home until midnight last night. Once we recoup a bit and get thoughts in order I'll be back with the TR. :flower3:
