10K recap!

Well this morning was a little rough. So we went to the Halloween Party the night before. I didn't stay until the end however. I went to bed, set my alarm and I did wake up but I never actually got out of bed. I ended up falling back to sleep soon after and if it wasn't for @jennamfeo calling my room I probably never would've made it to the 10K. She was the MVP of the day.

Group costume today

I was sort of worried about wearing the sombrero and running but it wasn't bad at all. The felt shirt I made was really hot though.

The first stop was Mary Poppins and Bert but we skipped that one. I believe Chip and Dale were next and we also skipped. We did stop for Chef Daisy though!

We met Carl from Up but I don't recall exactly where. Robin Hood was out just as we were entering Epcot but that line was insane.

We also met Marie in France

Could you tell I was hot? I also had some knee pain. I don't know what it was but my knee really killed me this race.

I actually really loved this medal more than I thought I would. It was a fun 10K running with friends and in the costume. Due to luggage constraints that sombrero didn't make it home though. My knee pain did worry me for the half the next day. I didn't stick around very long in the finisher area after this race.

I do like that medal! The extra sparkle would have made me happy LOL

It was a lot of fun other than freaking out about over sleeping!

Yeah I was really pleased with the medal in person.

Come to think of it, I think the 10k was the race I forgot to put my contacts in for. Haha. We were both hot messes but we made it through!

The Epcot Experience

After the 10K I skylined over to Epcot as I was meeting friends for the Parisian Breakfast in France! Endless mimosas and a great buffet!





I don't even remember what I all ate but this was some of it.



After breakfast I headed into Epcot for a little bit. I checked out the Epcot Experience. This was really cool.













I do have some mixed feelings on what's coming to Epcot but overall I am excited. The parking certainly needs a refresh. I really wished they sold these Epcot posters were sold somewhere.

I went and picked up my Food and Wine magnet next. The line was crazy long but thankfully moved fast.



I was off to the Magic Kingdom for a little bit next!

I did the Parisian Breakfast on Nov 2nd too. I loved it! I had multiple croissants (egg, goat cheese and chocolate) and loved how attentive they were topping off my mimosa! I was also super impressed with the preview center too. It is very well done!

The Parisian breakfast wasn't even on my radar! I feel like a bad DISer, for not knowing it existed.

It’s only during food and wine I believe so somewhat limited.

Cute 10k run outfits! So glad you didn't get too hot with the shawl you wore! So curious as to what you wore to breakfast (which looks SO delicious) and to MK afterwards!

Breakfast in France looks amazing! I hadn't seen anything about the Epcot experience before - have to check that out marathon weekend. Love the retro posters too - while I have a lot of nostalgia for the "good old days" when Epcot really was like a Worlds Fair, I am excited about what's to come.
