Cast of Characters: Me, my room-mates (Brian and Daniel)

Let me first off apologize as I won't be able to post pictures till I after I nget home as I left my camera cable there. I will try to update this everyday as I can.

We left Atlanta by 7am, and after a stop for gas and a run to the boarder for lunch in Lake City, FL, we arrived on property around 2pm. Our check in to the Kilimanjaro Club (Concierge Level) was a bit odd, as we were told we would be directed up to the lounge upon arrival and wouldn't have to go to the check in line. Well that didn't seem to be the case when we pulled up. No big deal. The desk staff checked us in and walked us up to the Club Level and to our room. We have a one bedroom. I am always the one on the couch/sleeper sofa, but I love the AK sofa as it is big enough to sleep on without having to acutally pull out the sleeper.

The Concierge staff hand delivered a gift for Daniel as he is celebrating his birthday from a few weeks ago. He got a birthday button, some chocolate, a carved wooden pen, and a journal made out of Elephant poo-poo (ew, but it looked so cool and eco-friendly).

Our view is pretty good, and we are over the Boma kitchens and the smell is GREAT!!!!!!. I have seen giraffe, Zebras, Ostrich, Ankole Cattle.

We connected the wireless airport so that we can all use our laptops (as I have to work while on vacation).

We have checked out the Lounge and I have to say that I am LOVE!!!!! with the African Smoothie, and the CM who is working the lounge named Brett. In fact he was holding a plate of cookies and I said "Lookin' Good". Of course I meant both him and the Cookies.... I wonder if I can get him to deliver some to my room..... :-)

We are just relaxing in the room today. I am reading, napping, and texting while my room-mates are watching TV, after all they are the ones that usually drive as I don't know how to drive a stick shift. No jokes....I have heard them all.

At 5pm we went to the lounge (which is two doors down) for the Kisikusiku which means Twilight Offerings. LOVE the olives and manchego cheese. They have some appetizers from Boma, and some wine. LOVE free wine and olives :-)

The wine is Indaba wine from South Africa. I am on my second glass. I tried the Shiraz first and now having the Merlot. I find the Merlot to be better. We tried to not fill up too much as we have an ADR for Boma later on this evening. Well that is all for now... I will try to update after dinner.... we might go to Downtown Disney, but I hope to be back here before 10pm as they have Rehema (Evening Indulgences) out and they have free cordials, which I hear includes Baily's Irish Creme.

Sounds like yourenhaving a good time so far. Mmmm, you have me craving Boma now!! Hope you enjoy your vacation!!

Arrival Day: Evening

We headed down to Boma for dinner. Always good. I was happy that we were here on a day they had my favorite soup - Carrot Ginger Soup. YUMMMMM. We went to our room to visit the rest room before heading to DTD, but when we looked outside the clouds where angry lookin' and the lightening off in the distance was scary beautiful.

Since we put our trip to DTD on hold we visited the lounge to get some cordials. Grand Marnier, Courvoisier, and Amarula.

Since it looked like the worse of the Noise and Light show was passed we headed to DTD, and just really went to Goofy's Candy Co, and the World of Disney. It was soooooo crowded, that we decided to come back to the room. We are usually never at Disney on a Saturday night so we weren't used to that many people.

Well now it is time for me to get a shower, and hit the hay as I am getting really tired and we have the Magic Kingdom tomorrow with Evening EMH till 1am. I doubt we will stay that long but who knows. Post later

Ken,
We are at Old Key West right now, hope to see you around the parks. pirate:
Of course we got rained out at Epcot's fireworks tonight. Universal the next few days.

Just spent 20 minutes typing out the day, when I suddenly lost it on my laptop by accidentally hitting a button. I am now to tired to type the story again, I'll try to re-post it tomorrow.

Tomorrow is DHS

Day 1: Magic Kingdom
Trapped Twice in Tomorrowland

This is will be a shorter version of what I was trying to post last night before I got too tired and somehow deleted it while typing.

The day was your pretty uneventful day at Magic Kingdom, not saying that a day at Magic Kingdom is uneventful, but it was your standard day for the most part. High Humity, 90 degrees+, Lower crowd levels.

We got stuck on Carousel of Progress on the final scene, we had to sit through it twice.

Lunch was at the Plaza. I really liked it. I had the Veggie Sandwich with the chip, and I declare it good.

The funniest part of the day was after riding Pirates, I had to run to the restroom. After I walked up to the urinal, a father and his small son walked in. The father helped the son prepare to use the short urinal as he (the Father) walked a few urinals down to use it as well. The son not wanting to be far from his father, runs (with his pants down) to his fathers side. Suddenly I heard the son say "Daddy??? Will I be that big someday?" I couldn't help but turn my head, and the Father looked so embarassed, and he just laughed and said to the boy "I assume so." Then the boy took off running back to the small urinal, and the father not knowing where his son was going chased after him. The father couldn't zip up fast enough so now he was standing at the urinal with this pants falling down. And since he wasn't wearing underwear he was giving the room a "full Moon". He was so embarassed, so I washed my hands and left the restroom.

Dinner was at Liberty Tree Tavern. As of now I have eaten at all the main sit down resturants in the Magic Kingdom. I don't count the Diamond Horseshoe since that isn't really open on a regular basis anymore. The dinner was ok, I loved the beef though. I kept asking for plates of that and the rolls (and butter).

After dinner the plan was to ride the TTA, and Astro Orbiters before watching Wishes. Well Mother Nature had other plans. We rode the TTA, but Astro was closed do to the lightening in the area (I assume). So we used our fast pass for Space Mountain. When we got off Space Mountain the skies had opened up and it was coming down hard and fast. So we waited it out in the Tomorrowland arcade for awhile till it lightened up.

When it lightened up some we made a dash for the enterance, but there was a problem. Tomorrowland was flooded. To get to the bridge near the Noodlestation you would have had to wade through ankle deep water, and I wasn't about to get my only tennis shoes drenched, or take them off to go barefoot through the park. So we headeded around to the other bridge between Cosmic Ray's and the Tea Cups.

Our ponchos were nice and dry in the locker we rented, sadly we were not.

Well time to raid the Kilimanjaro Club Lounge for some breakfast and to get dressed and off to Hollywood.

If I knew I was getting up to raid the Kilimanjaro Club Lounge, I probably wouldn't have had T H I S much trouble getting out of bed this morning. I'm loving the live trip report.. mucho. Where are the pictchas? Uploading them when you get home?

The story in the bathroom is... :lmao:

Pop down to the desk in the lounge and ask if it would be OK to Scotch tape a bunch of crap to the outside of your room door. ;)

Hope you are having a terrific time!

Yeah the pictures will come after I get home.

Day 2: Hollywood Studios
The Day of "Extras"

Partook of the "free" food in the lounge and headed to the Studios by 10am. It was a very, very non-crowded day.

I was picked as an extra in the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. It was alot of fun, and mega hot in the robe they gave me to wear.

I had lunch at Pizza Planet, and Toy Story Midway Mania, Muppets, The Great Movie Ride, and the Snoozelot Tour, Amercian Idol Experience.

We did the Animation Academy and drew Pooh.
The best part of the day was that we could go back and forth between Tower of Terror and Rock N' Rollercoaster with basically walk on. We rode Tower 5 times and Rock N' Rollercoaster 4 times.

We had dinner at 50's Prime Time Cafe.
And we were back at the resort in time to grab some free booze during Rehema.

Sorry that the day wasn't as interesting as my bathroom story from yesterday, but it is time for me to log off and shower, and get ready for our Epcot day tomorrow.

Day 3: Epcot
No Wait????

Got up and did the "usual", headed to the lounge for food and drink. Did I mention that I could sooooo get used to staying Club Level? We headed to Epcot today, and with our idea for this trip firmly in mind. We wanted to have a more laid back trip this time and not rush from attraction to attraction and go commando-style through out the parks and wear ourselves out. Let me tell you that the low crowd levels so far this trip are really helping us achieve that.

Soarin' and Test Track for most of the day had no more than 20 min wait times. We got to ride both attractions twice (getting Fast Passes once for each - and we didn't even really need them).

The thing that I loved most today was getting to see Captain EO. I never got to see it the first time around so it was fun to see the 80's style video and it brought back memories of when MJ was actually normal looking and how big of a star he was during my childhood.

The second thing that was alot of fun was finally being able to experience "Sum of all Thrills" in Innoventions. It was like a 10 min wait.

We had lunch at the Rose and Crown. It wasn't bad, and I loved the cute guys with their accents. I am a sucker for accents.

We got to do everything we wanted to do in both parts of the park, and even did some shopping in Worldshowcase and were done by 6pm. So instead of just hanging out for out ADR at Garden Grill we decided to save some money and head back to the resort for some free appetizers and wine/beer, and just relax in the room for the evening.

I got to flirt a bit more with CM Brett (sadly he is straight, but the flirting is fun), and read some of the book I am currently reading: Peter and the Starcatchers.

Well the battery is running low, so I'll sign off now and get some beauty sleep (I need it) for our day at Animal Kingdom tomorrow.

Night yall

Day 4: Animal Kingdom

Today was our wild adventure day at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Today was probably the longest lines we have had all week. At the beginning of the day at 10am the lines were very short. Dinosaur, Safari, Everest all had about 5 to 10 min wait. Later on in the day they got to be about 40 min. Dinosaur was only running half of the cars as they are refirbing half of the loading platform. We got to ride Everest three times, Dinosaur twice, Kali, Primeval Whirl, and a Bugs Life once, and we even saw Nemo (even though I slept through half of it - hey I was tired).

We had lunch at Restruantosaurus. I liked it alot better when it was a McDonalds.

We went to see the last performance of "Flights of Wonder" for the day, and it was an experience to say the least. They brought out a fairly new Owl (who has been in the show for only two weeks), well this owl was being a drama queen because she didn't go back behind the set like she was suppose to. Instead she flew off into the trees on the side of the stage and stayed there. Because of this, they pretty much ad libed while trying to get her down, and were unsuccessful. Because they couldn't bring out any more birds (due to the preditory nature of the owl) they pretty much ended the show right there.

We had dinner at the Yak and Yeti. I had the Dim Sum for Two appetizer, as my meal. It wasn't all that much food, but it was tasty.

After a final ride on Everest, and Dinosaur we headed back to the Lodge to get readdy for our Sunrise Safari in the morning.

This will be the last post till I get back from vacation, as I don't see myself posting from the ship. So I will update on the Sunrise Safari, the Cruise, and add pictures when I get back.

Chat with yall later.

Appetizers for dinner is one of my favorite meals, especially at Chinese restaurants!

I've really enjoyed reading your TR so far. Thanks for posting!

Wow, must be nice to experience no wait times like that! Sounds like you're having a nice trip!! Hope the rest goes well. Can't wait to hear the rest and see the pics!
