An evening with WillyJ *Pictures*

<p><b>Willy is in town painting one of the local Wal-Mart's with his dad and a
couple helpers.  When I heard he was coming in, I asked him to call me so
we could get together for a dinner some evening.  He called earlier this
afternoon and said he would be able to get together this evening.  I asked
Marie if she would be able to make it and she said, 'You mean WillyJ from the DIS? 
Sure, would love to meet Willy'. 
I called December99 (Chris), who, with her daughter, had seen
Willy a few days ago, about what restaurants were in her area, as he was actually out near her.  She put us on to a real nice one, Za-Za's in Sycamore, a great northern Italian place.</b></p>
<p><b>I sent Brisully (Brian) and a few others, PM's, asking if they could join
up.  Brian said he could.  While Marie and I were headed out to meet
Willy, Brian called me from his cell phone, saying his brother just called him,
asking if he could head over to his (his brother's) house, to watch his 3 kids,
as he was at the hospital with his wife (Brian's SIL) with suspected
meningitis.  Please keep her in your prayers for a good prognosis and
recovery.</b></p>

<p><b>When Marie and I arrived at the motel to pick up Willy, his dad, Bill, was
just pulling in from some errands in the area.  Had to get off a shot of
Willy and Willy senior, Bill.  I have talked to Bill many times over the
past couple years, along with Joan, Willy's mom, when I have called Willy. 
It was great to finally meet the guy where it all started and he was just as I
pictured him, cool!!!!  Nice picture, two good guys, dad and son. 
Bill did not want to go with us, but rather stayed at the motel.</b></p>

<p><b>We had a nice surprise a little bit after we were at the restaurant. 
Chris' DH, Dr. P (Mike) was in Cleveland and returning home this evening. 
When he called Chris (she was up at Gurnee Mills, and enjoying a weekend
mom/daughter getaway trip) after he arrived at the airport, she told him where
we were eating and he decided to stop by and have dinner with us.  Ahhhhhh,
modern communication is great!!!!  Here is Willy and Mike, after a nice enjoyable
meal.</b></p>

<p><b>On our way out, I asked the hostess if she could get a group shot of the
four of us, me, Lady M (Marie), Willy and Mike.  We really had a nice
evening.</b></p>

DIS.  Like magic.  Really an amazing place we all have here.

Heehee I thought you meant could Marie make dinner.

Looks like a great visit! How great that dad and son work together!

I also hope Brisully's SIL is ok...will keep her and her family in my thoughts and prayers.

Dan, I just very recently saw that picture "American Girl in Italy" and can't for the life of me remember where! That'll keep me awake tonight.

Just want to say what a great time I had hanging out with Dan, Marie, and Mike last night. . . we had a wonderful meal and the company was fantastic. .


I can't thank Dan and Marie enough- these two drove almost an hour out here from Chicago on short notice, picked me up, treated me to a wonderful dinner. . I'm very touched and grateful to you both for your generousity and friendship!!

And also a big thanks to Mike who came by straight from the airport to join us- it'd been a couple years since I'd seem Mike and Dan, and it was so cool catching up. . and meeting Marie for the first time was a real treat; she's a doll and has a great sense of humor. . the four of us had a total blast!!!


I was so sorry Brian couldn't make it. . I'm going to be around another week or so buddy and I'll try to get into Chicago one evening before I head home so we can hang out a little- I hope your sister-in-law is okay my friend; she's in my thoughts and prayers. . .
