Just wanted to share this with you

Well it's a month now till my big 4 0  and already I've had a lovely surprise come my way........

I thought my pressie from DH and DS was our celebratory trip to WDW in June and my party [to which 109 people have been invited:scared:] with the whole disco, decorations, buffet and cake shenanigans........Both of these things I'm so looking forward to.

Plus I've got a long weekend away at the end of May with the girlies I work with and we are celebrating both my 40th and a 21st of one of the other girls!
So the next few months were looking like one big party:

Well......today DH totally surprised me when the mail arrived when he handed me an envelope containing tickets for a week all inclusive stay [in October] at a great 4* hotel we holidayed at last July in Gran Canaria :dance3: I'm so chuffed! He said he couldn't wait til my birthday to surprise me as I've had a really heavy couple of weeks at work and he felt I needed a wee cheering up:love:

Hardly worth me putting the suitcases away :lmao:

I said I'm really being spoilt this year and my DS [who was in on the surprise] said well you're worth it you do so much for us two:lovestruc

Happy happy happy
Hope I feel the same tomorrow morning when I stand on those scales:rotfl2::rotfl2:

lovely surprise :goodvibes:goodvibes

Oh wow, lucky you, what a lovely surprise:thumbsup2

What a fantastic year your going to have, i'd forget the scales if I was you and just :banana::banana::banana:

Wow you have a very organised DH. It's my DH's 40th in October and I am still wondering what to do!

Well done to your DH and what a great surprise :thumbsup2

I don't think I've recovered from the shock of it yet tbh, I certainly feel very lucky this week

Pleased enough with my loss of 1.5lb this week so think I'm going to open the wine soon to celebrate my surprise; any excuse eh:rotfl2:

He's never usually that organised I can tell you:laughing:I think that's why it was such a big surprise! I'm really looking forward to it especially as after my two weeks at WDW I always feel I need a week in the sun to just chill out and relax and this year I'm only going to have to wait a few short months to do that:cool2:

Wow, how wonderful! :goodvibes

I have a big birthday next year ~ perhaps your DH could have a word with mine?? ;)

wow you are a lucky lady and your husband sounds like a treasure suprising you with this :thumbsup2

my next birthday falls on one of the most miserable days of the year- it's commonly known as a black monday

it's just after christmas and new year and will be that first back to work monday for most but not for me i'll be in the magic kingdom with a big daft grin and birthday badge having a character brekkie because i have a lovely husband too

and mine :goodvibes Seriously, though what a lovely suprise for you, it sounds like you have a lovely year ahead of you.. Ian is 40 a week on Wednesday, he didn't want a traditional party, but there are a group of us having two static caravans in Lydstep next weekend, and then in October we are doing a cruise and a stay in a treehouse with our best mates. I have got him a nice suprise too, but can't say yet in case he looks at the boards!!

In fairness to him, he has booked to take me on The Dream next March, and there is talk of a birthday bash at The Hardrock in Cardiff..

I hope you have a wonderful 40th year xx

:woohoo:Big cheers for great hubbys, I can't be IN WDW for my actual birthday but a few weeks later isn't going to stop my celebrating when I'm there:cool1: [volcanic ash permitting] Even when we go to the surprise week in the sun I'll still be celebrating my birthday, it's not every year a woman turns 40:lmao:
