I hate to call it a diet because it isn't a diet in the normal sense of the word, but just a way of eating period. Anyone here that avoids eating any type of grain (except corn) and vegetables grown under ground (i.e potatoes)?
My doctor is thinking I may be insulin resistant and has suggested trying to avoid foods with high amylose starch content. That pretty much means no grains, like wheat, bran, oats, etc.
I stopped at the store this evening to take a look around and see what I could find and man is it expensive.
I told my DH that it was no wonder people loose weight eating like this because they can't afford to buy enough food.
I was just kidding, but seriously, it is expensive.
I would love to hear from any Disers that avoid these types of foods and learn from your experience.
