Amy, 28, My life partner and life long disney addict!
Chelle, Me, 32-Amy inducted me into the Disney addict club back in 2000 and I've never been the same.

Thursday, February 5th

After a late night at Pleasure Island we let ourselves sleep in as late as we wanted. We woke up around 9:00 a.m. After a relaxing morning we headed to Epcot. After we entered we had our picture taken in front of Spaceship Earth by one of the Disney photographers and then headed to the Leave a Legacy tiles and found our photo from 2000.
We decided to head directly to Mission Space as we did not want to miss this attraction. We were surprised to see that there was only a 10 minute wait. We were on the ride in no time at all. I have to say that I enjoyed this ride, but was very anxious during lift off. I had been worried about getting sick, but I didn't get sick at all. Amy loved it! She had an absolute blast (heeeehee). Next, we grabbed a friendship boat over to Germany. We explored Germany and Italy and then it was time for our lunch at the Biergarten. As we were seated I was told that the Chef would be out to go over my dietary restrictions. Chef Jeff was great. He went through the whole menu with me and explained everything that went into the food so I could make my own decision as to what would be the best choice for me to eat. After lunch we headed to Italy as it was time for the Masquerade. I can't exactly explain why, but I love to watch this! I am just mesmerized by it. Next we went to Morocco and I had my hands decorated with henna. We did a little shopping and exploring in France and got our picture taken with Beauty and the Beast. We trekked back to Norway and did Maelstrom and then a little shopping and boat ride in Mexico. We had a little snack in Mexico. We love tacos!
We journeyed back to Future World and grabbed fastpasses for Test Track. While we were waiting for our fastpass time to roll around we rode Ellen's Energy Adventure. Then it was time for our ride on Test Track. We had only rode this one other time and we both enjoyed it much more this time. It was more fun than I had remembered it being. I am sure we will do this again on our next trip. Next we took a ride on Spaceship Earth and then strolled over to the Camera Center to look at our pics that had been taken earlier in the day.
After we bought our photos, we trekked all the way back to Canada in World Showcase and did some shopping. We always are on the look out for new Anne of Green Gables merchandise and one of the shops in Canada sells Green Gables stuff. We were disappointed that there was nothing new since our last trip. The United Kingdom was next. We enjoyed a little of the British Invasion and we realized it was almost 8:00 p.m. So, we staked out our spot for Illuminations and grabbed some fish and chips and a half yard of Bass and waited for the show. Illuminations was as wonderful as always! We made the slow journey back to the resort and collapsed into bed. No matter how long or how short our visit to Epcot, it always tires me out more than other parks. It must be all the walking.

Next: Day 6/Disney Studios and Magic Kingdom

Hi Chelle and Amy - Thanks for the reports, we are not going to get there this year wah, wah, wah. So thanks for sharing your trip. We always go to PoC 1st also (and hate/love that hairy leg) Glad to know we aren't the only DISes's in Aurora!

Take care,

Pumba-the henna lasted about a week. I really enjoyed having it done. The woman who did it was very interesting and very talented. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. I hope your 52 days fly by!

Alice Sr-Thanks for the reply! You may not be going to WDW, but it looks like you will be enjoying a cruise :p

TinkerChelle...what is henna?....where is it done and for how much?...just curious

as for the masquerade in Italy...we didn't know what it was, but my 15 year old DD was picked by the man with the roses and taken for a stroll and dance around the courtyard...the moment was priceless:lovestruc

Canadave-henna is a dye that is applied to the hands or feet. It is a form of personal decoration--something like a tattoo, but not permanent. In eastern cultures it is used as a decoration to a female usually before weddings or for special occasions. I had it done in Morocco at Epcot. I had both hands done for, if I remember right, $60.00. It lasted for a little more than a week. It probably could have lasted longer, but I swam a couple of times and applied lotion with my hands and that probably added to how quickly it went away.

thanks TinkerChelle...we're always looking for something new and special to do at WDW...I'm pretty sure my youngest DD would love henna
