Has anyone ever taken the train to Orlando? It seemsmuch cheaper than flying but more relaxing than driving (takes about the same time)?

Has anyone ever taken the train to Orlando?

Yes! Our family loves the auto-train! It can be an enjoyable trip, and a fun adventure for children who do not often travel by rail. The food service when we last rode the train was excellent, btw.

However, do be aware that you may or may not be able to get a decent night's rest if you are in coach seating. While the seats do recline and are reasonably comfortable, I found that every time someone passed through our car on their way to the lounge car, the sound of the automatic doors opening and closing woke me.
