Amtrak and Car Rentals !??!?!!??!?!?

I am having no luck trying to find a easy solution for returning a car rental "Close" to the Orlando or Kissimmee Amtrak stations. No matter what commpany I look at I will have to "cab" it from rental drop off location to either station. It seems to me I might as well use the Airport drop off site, since the "cab" fee's are gonna cost the same at the other nearest locations.

Any travellers already gone thru this situation (there are a lot of post concerning this subject here but no one has truly replied how their trip finally worked out with the car rental and their amtrak trip - I would appreciate any imput to make this easier than the web's lack of information on this subject.

Ok, finally found an answer - HERTZ has a rental/return station at the Orlando Amtrak Station - But is not a 24hr station, You can only reserve using this Hertz Location by telephone (Phone Number: 800-654-3131) and ask them the operating hours for the day you are travelling. Basically it will be typical daytime hours 11:00am-?. They do have a "lock box" at this location for before/after hours of operation drop-off's.

I hope this makes it easier for anyone looking for the same information
