AMTRACK Discounts???

Does anyone know if there are EVER discounts to take Amtrack from New York to Orlando? I've seen discounts but never to Orlando.
We took Train last March and it was 1700$ for 4 people 2 rooms. Very expensive. We want to go back next March but I could use a discount.

just keep an eye on the website. they have diff. times of the year, like last year it was 1 full price, 2nd 1/2 price ,2rd person free. also dont forget you can get AAA discounts, which is prob. 10 -15 per cent dis. thats what i use. also the EARLIER you book the less it cost. make sure you check it out.

Do you know if you have to use the discounts for travel within a certain date or can you use them for an advanced (Like a year away) purchase?

i just got back on thursday.

we paid $20.70 each each way- so our family of 5 went for a little over $200 roundtrip coach.

if you look at the rail sale on the amtrak web site- NOT the promotions area- they have dates going into march- the rail sale is updated weekly-

i will never drive again!!!!!!!!!!!1
