Amgen Tour of California

I did a cool thing today! The Amgen Tour of California Bike Race came ended today's leg in the city where I work. In fact it ended only 4 blocks away! We closed the office for an hour or so and walked down there. It was very exciting to be a part of it. Of course the racers went by in a blur but it was still very cool. Just had to share!

Oh and does anyone know how to get air out of a thunderstick without puncturing it? I'd like to send one to my friend!

I covered the race on Saturday as it went to the Amgen campus and today as well. It was amazing! The race is so well organized and from the spectators I spoke with seem to enjoy it! I hope it'll be an annual thing. I am sure that it went pretty close by me. The weather even cooperated (well, except for a little snow last weekend!)

It's supposed to be...at least from Amgen. They have, if I'm not mistaken, a 3-year sponsorship deal while AEG(the owners of the event) have a 7-year deal. This can all change if AEG is unable to find a sponsor if Amgen decides not to continue...
