AmEx Travel Funds Card

Hi,
Does anyone have experience (good or bad) with using the American Express Travel Funds Card at WDW? Can it be used at the ATM's in the parks? My daughter does not have an ATM card and wants to use this, rather than carry a lot of cash.....Thanks in advance for your help.

I use the Wachovia Visa Buxx prepaid card. I saw this on our local news around xmas. It's really geered towards teens (put allowance or xmas spending money on), but I got the card for myself.

It's great to put vacation money on, saving money aside for xmas, etc... There was a one time initial fee, but that was it. You don't have to belong to Wachovia (even though I do now), and if you want it for yourself, just sign yourself up as a teen. You can also track the spending.

You can have a max of $1,000. Make automatic deposits if you choose. I put so much money on a week as my extra spending money. Gives me a chance to buy some xmas items as I see things on sale. I'll be using it next week to our trip to Knoebels. Nice not to carry a bunch of cash...

I've never used, but it sounds like a great idea!!! Another card is the buxx card. Or check your bank for Visa/mastercard Gift and reloadable cards. If your bank doesn't have them go to http://www.visabuxx.com/. This is a really good card thats easy to transport monies. You can get one for yourself, but someone else has to be on the account with you. Keep in mind that some places does not take American Express, every place takes Visa and mastercard.

I have the visa buxx card (aka wachovia buxx card) and I'm the only one on the account. I signed myself up as the parent so I have access to all accounts (for when I decide to put DD and DH on). I also signed myself up as the teen to get a card. So right now, I'm the only one on the account.
