I just saw this on hotelkingdom.com for my dates in February.. Of course whether they actually "have" the rooms left remains to be seen.. But.....my total for 9 nights (tax included) would be $442.31...!!

Wanted to check here before I went ahead and booked it though..

Tell me the good, the bad, and the ugly.. LOL

I want to get the suite with the two double beds & sofa bed.. Is this a good place for a 5-year-old?

Is the breakfast good? Rooms nice? Is the place hard to find?

Would like to book it tonight or tomorrow morning (or at least try anyhow) so any info would be GREATLY appreciated! :)

We've stayed at the Amerisuites Convention Center (I-Drive area), the Amerisuites Universal and Amerisuites in many other states including Georgia and Illinois. Overall, we like the chain. The rooms are not a true suite, but rather have a 1/2 wall separating the bedroom area and living room area. They have a counter-height refrigerator, microwave and wet bar. Breakfast is a deluxe contintental breakfast with do it yourself waffles, fresh fruit, muffins, cold cereals, hard boiled eggs, etc. Not a gourmet meal but definitely palatable and FREE! Overall the hotel was very well kept and clean. The only problem we had with the one near Universal is we had to keep asking for pool towels because they were never stocked and always in the dirty bin. It looks like you've found a good rate through hotelkingdom.com. We usually stay through Priceline and pay about $33/night. I'm guessing that you may be talking about a different location than the ones I've mentioned, but I definitely would recommend the chain. Never had a bad experience there yet!

I booked the Amerisuites @ Calypso Cay for 3 nights in December through Hotel Kingdom. I found a cheaper rate on Valuetrips.com and did that Champion Fare rate finder. They ended up giving me a lower rate ($43!) and a $10 credit back to my deposit, so three nights cost me $119 total - Can't beat that!! We stayed at an Amerisuites in VA and was happy with it. They had a drink station in the lobby 24 hours a day with coffee/tea/hot choc. with milk, creamers, sugar etc. - Kind of like a refillable mug that you don't have to pay for. The breakfast was ok - they had oatmeal packets, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal boxes, waffles, muffins, etc. Microwave and toaster was available. For us that was enough. Hope this one measures up , but for the $$ we are spending, it's worth it.

I was looking at the Amerisuites at LBV as I saw the price on Hotelkingdom and thought it looked excellent value. I have looked at the review on Tripadvisor etc and overall it seems pretty good. It seems that three hotels are situated round two pools and the resort is the Calyso cay resort. Also a good deal when you look at the continental breakfast. Amerisuites do have there own website and you can look at pictures of the rooms.

In the Unofficial guide 2004 the room is marked at about 82 which is good and it is listed as one of the top 30 good deals.
