Amerihost Resort in Kissimee

Hey-

I need all the info you can give me on this hotel (good and bad). I have a brief window of opportunity for a great deal on this hotel. Can you tell me exactly where it is located from Disney?

We stayed there one night in February as we arrived earlier than expected. It is located on 192 and not far from Disney. Sorry, but I can't remember for sure, but we drove from Amerihost to Pop and I'm sure it didn't take longer than 10 - 15 minutes. The hotel itself is ok. Our room was clean and comfortable. In the centre is a food court/bar and pool. The pool was nice, kind of a tropical setting with a waterfall. It wasn't very big though. There is also an outdoor pool but we didn't check it out. If you do stay there be absolutely sure to get an outer room. They have kareoke in the centre area at night (Sat. night anyway) and it goes until 11 pm. If you have an inside room (facing the courtyard) you can hear it just as if you were sitting right there. They have a buffet that was priced reasonably but we didn't really care for the evening one. Didn't try breakfast. I would stay there again for the price we paid ($3?) with a coupon in the discount magazine from the Florida Welcome Centre.

I looked at the map and it looks like it is on the Sherbert Road - which is a nice location if you have a car.

Thanks jtdl. Do you happen to remember how often the free shuttle ran to the Disney parks? That's probably my biggest concern right now.

I don't know anything about the shuttle - sorry. The hotel is right on 192, maybe the road the other poster spoke of is a side street.

We are staying here the week of Apr. 17th as I had quite a few free nights saved up from triprewards.com.

We stayed at theis resort in the 80's & 90's when it was called Wilson World.

I don't know if it has changed much but with the pool being inside and buffet also close by this place got quite noisy if you had a room that was on the inside (with pool & lobby view). I would suggest asking for a room that was on the outside rim of the hotel if you are looking for a quieter time during your stay.

My daughter and stayed here in December 2004. It was a nice hotel, clean room and the people were friendly.

We had a free buffet breakfast all you can eat that was fabulous and the indoor pool and hottub were great. Be sure to request outside room to not hear the karaoke. I am staying there again and they assure me that they have had compa,ints aobut this so they are putting in some sound barriers so that you won;t hear the karoake anymore, It is supposed ot be finshed by christmas

Not a bad place for the price at all.

I stayed at others in kissemee and this is a palace compared to others.

Apparently they now have a free shuttle to the theme parks and Universal and Seaworld.
