There were some questions here about how Americans can buy TGV tickets ahead of time without incurring large delivery fees. I found a link on the parisbytrain web site that might be helpful. Here is the link - http://parisbytrain.com/tgv-tickets/

I went ahead and decided to purchase my ticket online this way since I will be needing it Nov. 11th which I think is a holiday. I will be going from Disneyland Paris to CDG in the evening. I purchased a changeable ticket online for 18Euro - the non changeable ticket was 15.90Euro. It was very easy to purchase and took 5-10minutes.

I used the tgv-europe website and indicated Great Britain as my country (though I am in Turkey) and chose the "pick up at French Station option with card used to purchase the ticket". Since Americans are not able to use the automated ticket machines with American cards for collections, this was listed as the alternative. It was very easy to do. So after next week I will be able to post how it worked - if it was easy to collect my ticket at the station etc.

Anyway - hope this helps someone!:goodvibes

Have a Happy Disney Day!:wizard:

Thanks for posting this.....will be waiting for your return!! Hope picking up the ticket is easy.

I hope it is easy to pick up. I can't wait to hear about your trip. Have a great time!

Hi- I came back to the States yesterday - a good 10 and a half hour flight from Paris - so wanted to give you my update on the TGV tickets!

In one word - SUPER!:thumbsup2

Booking through TGV - europe was great and I didn't have to pay any extra fees.

My first full day at Disney I went by the train station at Marne Le Valle on the way to the parks - about 9:15am - there was no one in the SCNF office - no line that is so I walked right up and picked up my ticket with the credit card I used to pay for it online. It was very simple - took 5 minutes and I had time to ask the guy working there the questions about my train. He was very helpful.

So that was my experience.

Now the station office at CDG may be much busier so don't know how long you might have to wait there - but Marne La Valle was a very easy place to pick up TGV tickets.

Taking the train was easy and fast and I will definitely do it again this way as needed!
