Ok everyone, here is my question. I don't live in the states but in Canada and I keep hearing how we should place phone cards as an extra tip for the staff. Well my question is, what is the difference between our phone cards and yours. A friend said I couldn't use Canadian phone cards? I guess I am wondering what kind of phone cards should I be getting and are they good in the States? Can anyone help? Thanks Houzer

Also how do I show the countdown clock in my messages?

I believe you need a phone carrier who is accepted in Canada and USA (and for tips, other countries as well). The AtandT cards sold at Walmart and Sams are good in almost all countries (although the minutes listed on the front is only for the US). Outside the US, there is a higher per minute charge (I think 6 minutes = 1 minute of talk time but I am not sure).

I bought the ones that Sam's Club were selling, they stated that on the back that they could be used in the US. They were for 140 minutes in Canada but hoping that they at least get a 30 min phone call!

Next time, I will buy while in the US to make sure of the # of minutes they get!
