my neighbor had tickets for tonight's show that she couldn't use, so my daughters and I took the tickets off her hands. older dd has a bad case of hero worship for Diana, younger dd has a bit of a crush on Johnny red. first act, each Idol was introduced by clips from the show and then sang a song before introducing the next Idol. act 2 was better, more like a revue, they performed together. a salute to Prince, lots of Motown.

worht the price of admission to see my very blonde 13 year old daughter singing "Ain't No Mountain High Enough".

John Stevens signed a record deal last week...I believe it was with Arista Records....no idea when any cd's will be on the market.

I wish I could see the show here in a few weeks...sounds like a good time.

I like JPL and would have liked to have gone but missed the pre-sale date and the good seats were gone.

Thanks for the review...BF and I have tickets to the last show here in Honolulu. (We're in our 30's-40's!) We were big fans this year because of the Hawaii contestants.

I missed the presale date, too, RM. but my friend got very good seats, in the end zone facing the state. usually I'm at center ice in the upper deck, these seats were much better than what I usually get. the coliseum was filled, by the way.

and alsmot forgot to mention, JP was wearing an Islanders shirt.

I went on August 29 and it was awesome! I haven't seen any other threads on it so I figured no one else went. My favorite was John Stevens, so of course I got all giddy when I saw him for the first time in a couple months. I was so excited that he got 2 solo songs, and I liked his little duet with Fantasia, with all the dancing and everything. I also thought JPL doing "Hey Ya" was hilarious. Overall, I thought it was a lot of fun, and worth the money.

ShuisFan and Jennyanydots,

just curious...based on what you've read of each others posts, does it look like the performances were the same? I was just wondering if they change things or if each of the performances are alike...

from what I understand, the tour show doesn't change from city to city. Amy didn't perform in the Long Island or New Jersey shows, so I suppose there were a few modifications to work around her, but otherwise the show remained the smae all summer long.

I assume they always do the same songs. And where was Amy? Was she not on the tour at all, or was she just sick or something?

Thanks for the super-fast replies!!!

(And Amy was one of my favorites!!! I hope she comes to Honolulu!!! :( )

according to the review in todya's paper, Amy sat out a few performances because she was sick. her face is all over the merchandise from the show.

Yea I noticed her picture everywhere, including the keychain that I just had to buy. That's too bad she wasn't there, she was one of the performers I liked. Now if John Stevens were the one to be out sick, I don't know what I'd do! He's one of the main reasons I went!
