I think what lacey has going for is her voice has the unique tone and sound to it, that's not always heard.

There is something very unique about her voice that isn't perfect but interesting.

I think Lacey is by far the best so far tonight and, imho, Simon was fluffing up Katie way too much and not sure why he was dissing Siobhan so much.

I think she did a very good job covering Brandi Carlile...that's not an easy task.

Lacey could do some Mazzy Starr stuff, too, I bet.

So...why don't the judges just pick the songs for them during the first few shows, THEN let them pick their own from then on? This would give the inexperienced singers some idea what fits their voices and we wouldn't have to suffer through "that's not the right song for you" over and over. Sheesh.

Question, how often is there a fast song that really shows off their vocals? Most of the faster songs don't show their range or their style. Did you want her to sing... God forbid ... Vacation or Our Lips are Sealed??

I like the slower songs but every week everyone complains about them.

I like a lot of the slower songs...that tends to be what I listen to, but when they are done badly...or when they slow it down too much...

That's because most of them do them and they all seem to run together and it's hard to differentiate between the singers.

Not to me. I come to hear their voices, I don't need to dance to the songs. If I was at a club I'd be ticked off but to hear a singer I want to hear their voices, and ballads show their range.
