I did not care for Avril as a judge. Thought she was rude and unprofessional the way she laughed at everyone. I also didn't understand why she thought she was there to judge if someone should go on or not because of there home life. Duh, I don't think anyone gets to be 25+ years old and think it is an easy life to live your dream.

I did like Katie Perry as a judge. She really seemed to listen to the singing and make a decision on that and not looks or story. Also liked the fact that Kara didn't seem to like her. LOL

Wasn't she the one that told the rocker girl she shouldn't have dressed in a "costume" or something like that? It seemed to me she was the one that was trying to play a part and try to make everyone to go "hey, look how cool she is!" When really people were saying "hey, look how dorky she looks!"

Just read on EW.com that was Daniel Franco from Project Runway on Idol as the "love child of Susan Boyle and Adam Lambert." Good catch whoever noticed it!

I agree because when it finally comes to Hollywood week I feel like I'm watching total strangers because very very few have gotten any air time.

I get tired of the "stories" especially when they don't make it either.

Kris Allen was a good example of this. I don't think that he was show at all until he made it past Hollywood week.

I remember his audition, but I don't think they showed him during hollywood week.

One that sticks in my mind is Jason Castro. I think due to song clearance he was never shown until the top 24 and he made it all the way to 4th!

Avril was awful. I have zero respect for her. I thought Katy was pretty good thouh. I thought last nights show was overall awful though. Not good Idol at all. Not sure what is up this season....

Avril came across as a snotty brat. I couldn't stand her.
Ididn't care for Katy either. I thought she came across as a snob.

There was one audition of a guy that got through...the guy that had a wife and four? kids and was involved in his church. I didn't understand why Avril would make a point of that and how hard it is on the road. Isn't that up to him and his family to decide? She should have been judging his singing ability and not his family status.

Yea, I couldn't believe that Avril wouldn't pass the guy through to Hollywood based on his resposibilities! Let him figure that out. He came to the auditions knowing what would be expected of him. ugh! I'm not a fan of hers.
