American Idol Season 9 Thread

I thought it was good vocally. I couldn't recognize the song and was surprised when I finally found out what it is!

alright guys....i've had a crappy day and i'm REALLY hoping tonight's show perks me up.

my DH and i got into an argument earlier(his brother's wife is pregnant and before we found out the sex he kept going "OMG IT HAS TO BE A BOY!! THE LAST NAME HAS TO BE CARRIED ON! IT'S ONLY UP TO HIM, ME, AND OUR COUSIN TO CARRY ON THE LAST NAME!!" and then we found out they're having a boy and he's acting kind of weird, like...a bit TOO happy and i told him "yeah i'm really excited/happy for them too! but calm down a little bit, you're kind of loud" and he got angry with me)

and my parents called me an hour ago telling me their dog is in the animal hospital and he will either have to get his eye taken out(he's already blind in both eyes but now he's got glacoma in the one) or they might just put him to sleep

so yeah....really crappy day. i'm sitting here with a glass of wine to calm my nerves and waiting for the show to start.

come on boys, don't let me down tonight!

eh, Toddrick, he butchered Kelly Clarkson. He's a good singer but I don't think this was his best.

uhm....i actually agree lol.


i'm pretty sure they mean to change up the vocal arrangement a bit, maybe a BIT of the song....but not to completely change it so no one knows what you're singing.

I agree, the judges really give out conflicting advice. It's really annoying.

I know how you feel about the dog issue. My dalmatian is nearing her end and I think we will have to give the vet a call tomorrow. I'm hoping the show cheers me up too.

Yes! I can't say I loved what he did. But the back and forth just bugs me. Either they want them to be "original" or they want them to be "karaoke." Pick one!

I love it when they change it up and make it their own -- especially DC. I just didn't care for Todrick's arrangement.
