Ok. Love this guy. Very talented and great personality.

I liked him so much better with the guitar than without it.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh...felt good to be "home". I always watch the show DVR'd so I can't chat live with you all.

The only thing that gave me pause was that WITCH of a sister who glared daggers at her brother while he sang. Sure she thought it was "her" time, and sure she just 15 (lord knows I know how teens can get caught up in themselves) but sheesh! She was clearly unhappy about the attention her brother got. Sad. And the snot-rag was good too...so what does she have to complain about?

Just finished reading through all the newer posts. What an entertaining discussion! Enjoyed the show, and I'm looking forward to tomorrow night.

Putting on my flame suit -- does anyone else cry through American Idol? Whenever I see people reaching for their dreams it just really gets me going.

No flames from me! :) I do get teary-eyed at times when I see people so happy and crying tears of joy.

they said that guy got up to #12 spot last year.
they sure did seem happy to see him.

 Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....
My DVR "failed" (or at least that's the message it gave me!), and didn't record AI - even though it said it was & the red record light was on. I missed the entire show!!!!!

Guess I'm watching live tomorrow night.

I know! The worst part is that I could have watched live!!!! I decided to walk on the treadmil & read DS10 a story instead. I figured it would be better to skip the commericials. :guilty: Lesson learned! Tomorrow night I'm going to get DS12 to read the story & I'm skipping the excercise!!! :thumbsup2

I wouldn't call her a witch. She said her brother decided not to audition this year, so then he comes in and pretty much up-stages her and the judges were fawning all over him and pretty much just ignoring her. And as you said, she's 15...so I thought her reaction was pretty normal.

I really liked Phillip Phillips, I'll be watching for him in Hollywood and hope he does well.

It'll be interesting to see how the guy that quit his job and has a pregnant wife does in Hollywood.

Fascinating that you give her attitude a pass cause she's 15 but not Astro.

Her brother didn't have any plans to audition, but when the judges specifically ask you to...and I didn't think her brother sang better than she did. I thought she was wonderful. Sure the judges were falling all over him, but that's them. The guy is her brother. You support family.

Anyway, I'll wait and see how she behaves during Hollywood week. She's got one more shot to turn it around with me.

And I'm the first one to judge someone on this thread? :rotfl:

What are the chances of him winning? Not worth the risk when you sing like him and your wife is six months pregnant.

Yup, that guy's an absolute idiot. He won't make it past the first elimination round in Hollywood. He barely made it past the judges.

Then he's just an unemployed guy, with a brand new baby to support...but that doesn't matter, since he's "following his dream".
