I am NOT happy about the Carol King theme next week. I think it was carefully orchestrated to give Haley the edge. They're desperate to keep her around!

Absolutely agree. If they can't fix the votes, they have to fix the show somehow. and Jennifer needs to SHUT UP about keeping the "girls" on the show. I thought in the 21st century we were somehow past that sexism.

AND...am I the only one who found the lyrics of Katie Perry's "song" to be highly offensive? I understand that she's a wannabe whatever and her songs are meant to be lascivious, but the lyrics "wanna be a victim, ready for abduction" REALLY bothered me. As the mother of 4 DDs, I don't want ANY crazy man to listen to that and think, "Yeah, if Katie Perry says she likes it, then that's what I'm gonna do". KWIM?

I think I spend too much time on the risk management and criminal mind end of things, but I can totally see some wacko hauling a girl off into the woods because "she asked for it". Maybe it's just me and I'm hypersensitive to girls ASKING to be "a victim".

We were also ticked that Haley didn't have to spend anytime at all on the Stool of Shame. Her reprieve was TOO fast.

Doesn't matter what the theme is:

Scotty will hype his flute mike and yodel it somehow

James will scream in it somewhere

Jacob will get emotional in front of a choir

Lauren will smile and walk around during it

Haley will wear something skimpy and growl thru it

and Casey will put on that stupid Jack Black grin and nutty it up.

Then the judges will tell them they're the second COMING!!

Jeez is there ANYTHING else on Weds and Thursday nights????

Agree. It is like they are forcing her down our throats.

Was sad to see Stefano go, only because that means Jacob and Haley get to stay.

I hate that they keep choosing a theme with songs from one artist. It makes it too limited.

As long as Haley doesn't sing Tapestry or Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow I;m OK with the theme. It is no worse than Elvis week or any of the others they have come up with.

Me, I'm fine with watching this show every week, I'm not seeing what is so wrong with it . I don't mind the themes and I'm enjoying it a lot this year....much more than a lot of the other years.

Carole King wrote so many songs that were huge hits. She also had the record for the solo album that was on the charts the longest until Thriller came along.


For some reason I thought she was a theme week in a previous year too.

Nancy, I am with you.

Carole King was my first true musical love. I bought her Tapestry album when I was about 10 years old and literally wore it out. I still know every song by heart. I saw her live on her "Living Room Tour" a few years ago and she is still so awesome. Very pure voice and talented song writer. I am looking forward to next week. I guess I am an old fogey.
