Ruben seemed to be having a little trouble with keeping on key especially at the beginning of his last song and as my DH pointed out (LOL he was actually getting upset!) the judges seemed to never find any fault with Ruben......poor Clay seemed to get it though.

I really hope that Clay will take this and after hearing the applause for him at the end of the show I feel that he will be the next American Idol!

I hate it that we Canadians can't vote!

Oh yeah..............Paul Anka still has it!!!

I'm sticking with my original choice -- RUBEN ! But, if someone else has to win, I am glad it will be Clay. He has really grown on me and I did not like him at the start of the show. I think they are both great!

Unfortunately, the lines are busy and I've only gotten through once! Clay was incredible tonight. . .Ruben was just Ruben--I really don't get it--consistent, but nothin' special or unique. Why do those judges NEVER find fault with him--he sounded off-key to me and started weak on all 3 songs. Go figure.

The audience seemed to be Clay-weighted tonight--probably tomorrow's fans will be Rubenites. I'm so afraid that Ruben will be crowned AI, but I don't believe he deserves it. It's gonna' be a long 2 hour show tomorrow! I may just have to watch something else or the commercials will drive me !

I love them both though. I prefer Clay but if Ruben wins that will be great also. Either was they BOTH have giant careers ahead of them.

Clay has it hands down. You can tell by the applause that the audience thought so too.

I realized that the difference between Clay and Ruben is that Clay puts his whole heart and soul into his singing. When he sings he closes his eyes and clenches his fists and really gets into it. Ruben just kinda simles and sways from side to side. That's why Clay's songs have more energy in them, and that's what sets him apart.

I gotta gree with Tess - I found Ruben a bit off in "A House is not a home" - Tamara did it much better on the AI 1 CD - give it a listen and hear the song sung! Why don't the judges ever hear when Ruben is off, or boring, or safe. I thought Imaging was horrible.

I also liked the original song by Clay - if this is "American Idol - the Musical" I'll buy tickets today! And Bridge over Troubled Waters was awesome - I got goose bumps.

I was a Kimberly Locke fan, but given my choices (and their both good) I'm voting for Clay.

Have been voting the whole time, for Clay, all I get are busy signals. I hope that's a good thing. Clay's whole personality comes through when he sings. Ruben has that "deer caught in the headlights" look all the time. I love it when Clay hits those high notes, sorry, Ruben couldn't do that if he tried.

I jumped off the Ruben bandwagon & onto Clay's because of his performances tonight. Clay was awesome, each song got better.

Ruben DID NOT pull "Imagine" off. It was terrible. Bad choice. Only John Lennon can sing that one IMO.

I loved Clay tonight. He should win!!!

I don't care how the votes come out tomorrow night. Clay is the winner. There's no fair way to vote if you can vote multiple times. If both lines are continously busy, there's never going to be a "real" winner.

Clay has the best voice and I would rather look at him perform in a concert or Broadway than I would Ruben. Ruben was sweating after 3 songs so I don't even think he could do a concert. Clay's first song was awesome, and I agree w/ everyone that Ruben did an awful job trying to sing John Lennon's song.

I think Clay is a fun person, and his personality comes out in his singing. Rubin seems more reserved. Clay had the high tones and low tones tonight; very powerful. I was very impressed with him.

I'm thinking if they each did a concert, Clay's concert would be more entertaining and fun to be at!
