American Idol - opinions about tonight's show?

Kimberly - I think she's adorable and loved her voice! We voted for her.

Jordan - pretty good

Vanessa - Loved her and voted for her if only because of Simon's rude comment about her figure!!! What's up with that!!! What a double standard! I don't recall him saying anything about Ruben's "figure"!!!

Rickey - love his personality but tonight I don't think sounded that great

Samantha - pretty good

Lou - didn't care for

Equoia - didn't care for

George - can't really decide what I think about him.

So what did ya'll think??? I hope Kimberly & Vanessa go on!

Well, I am an American Idol addict and, to tell the truth, nobody on tonight's show really stood out to me. The guy that did "Unchained Melody" sang well, but he looked pretty dorky. I liked the hairdresser too. All the cute guys were pretty mediocre singers.

I don't know.

I think Frenchie would have beaten the pants off all of them!

I was on the computer, and out of all of them, Vanessa was the only one who made me look up.

The others weren't bad, just didn't catch my attention.

I think Rickey (Hercules, Hercules) was the best of the guys.

We'll see what tomorrow brings.

I think that Vanessa (pink hair - rude Simon comment about her weight) was the only one who really stood out. I hope she makes it. (I remember her original auditions and she was good then too.)

None of the guys really did it last night. I really like Rickey (Hercules, Hercules!), but don't think he was at his best. George (who sang "Unchained Melody") did an okay job, but something about him bothered me.

I hope Vanessa is chosen. It will be interesting to see what actually ends up happening.

I thought it was interesting when Simon said that the toughest/best group was going to be the wild card group. I believe that. Some really good people haven't made it in the past couple of weeks.

I agree that no one really stood out and made me go WOW. I guess I would have to pick Kimberly and either Rickey or Vanessa.

I didn't think anyone last night was great either. Vanessa sang one of my favorite songs of all time, so I liked her. I love Rickey, but he didn't do his best last night. Kimberly was good, but I don't think she even comes close to some of the others that have gone on. The voting should be interesting, as I have no guess as to who will go on tonight.

For once I agree with Simon... "so what?"

No one stood out, no one was excellent... just okay.

Funniest thing was afterwards when I voted I didn't get ONE busy signal! And usually it takes me forEVER to get through.

I think that's quite indicative of the performances.

I voted for Rickey and George. I was not too impressed with Rickey as I was before but still like HIM. George sang my (and Simon's) favorite song and I think he did well, though I think he was being too careful with it.

We'll see, I'm looking forward to the wild card group.

After they all finished singing last night I was trying to just remember who all sang and I could only come up with Kimberly and Vanessa. It was a pretty average, uninspiring night and I think the voting will be interesting because everyone will pretty much have a shot because no one really stood out and blew everyone away.

The way the groups have been set up is going to allow for some of the stronger singers to be left out of the final 10 while some weaker singer will get a shot. I don't think it is really fair but I guess they have to have some sort of system to pick the final 10.

I am looking forward to the wildcard group.... people with a second chance will be really focused and desperate to succeed.

How and when do they pick these people.. anyone know?

Also.. the girl frenchie who was kicked out becuase of nude photos... who/how did they pick someone to replace her?

We voted for Vanessa and Kimberly in my house, but thought it was a pretty lackluster group in all. Too bad Clay wasn't in this group!

I didn't vote, but would have voted for Vanessa and Ricky. I don't think anyone will be coming back for the wildcard show.

My favorites last night were Jordan and Vanessa, but I didn't vote for anyone, because I wasn't really impressed by any of them!

Does anyone know how they determine the groups? Because so far I think group 2 has been overwhelmingly better than 1 and 3...it's not really fair to some of the singers. Clay, for example, wasn't as great as Kimberly and Ruben last week, but he would have been far better than everyone this week.

I do agree with Simon on this one as well...so what? None of them really stood out to me either and I definitely agree that the Wildcard group will be the best out of everyone! We voted for Kimberly and Vanessa here...They are all really great singers, but just no sparkle or something is missing...

I missed this show, except for the very end with George singing. He was very good. I also saw the recap of the singers and thought that Kimberly was AWFUL! What is up with that "cutsey" voice. UGH!

Didn't hear Vanessa. I thought Equoia was very good, too.

I'm going to watch tonight, but I know they don't recap the clips of their singing, so I probably won't know who sang what...

I am! I've been a little bit bored with the show over the past two weeks. I'm not crazy about many of the contestants. But, I really enjoyed the "Best of the Worst" episode that aired last night. I thought it was very funny.
