This show is being dragged on so much anyway I only watch the last 10 minutes on the nights that they are announcing the loser. This thread would have saved me the 10 minutes I wasted last night! LOL!

To get people to stop doing it! Those of us who have been here awhile remember the season when Survivor was in it's first year and the Winter Olympics were going on. There were Spoilers going up constantly and people were really irritated. Let's no go back there!

No one is accusing anyone of not being human - just trying to point out a mistake realizing full well the OP doesn't realize she made one - and won't unless it's pointed out.

Well believe me, let's hope you don't ever have to find out why it's a big deal! Trust me, it's annoying to know how your favorite show ends before you get a chance to watch it!

Generally speaking, when I don't want to know ahead of time, I stay off the 'Net...there's always bound to be someone with a spoiler.

A mild annoyance, at best...not earth shattering in the least.

After the whole Survivor/Winter Olympics bruhaha, we actually went a long time pretty much spoiler free. We worked out an agreement to keep the spoilers within a post, not in the title. Recently the spoilers have started again - IMO it's all about letting people know the protocol.

No one has claimed it's earth shattering. It's easy for someone on the East Coast to say "stay off our board until you've watched your show". They don't have to remember that the show is on that night so no logging on to the computer after 5. It's irritating to realize that AI is on tonight because you just saw who got kicked off.

I would imagine that poor Poohbear posted this thread and then hasn't been back on the boards. I'm sure that if she had read our requests she would have changed it immediately. An innocent mistake.

it's kind of ironic too, that even after it was obvious (after the first few posts) that she wasn't still on the boards to correct it....people kept posting and bumping the thread right back up to top of the front page...to spoil it for MORE people!

I really don't think people were slamming poohbear, mainly letting her know that a great many people on the board are upset by this practice. IMO the thread has only gone on so long because of all the people chastising us for feeling that way.

CookieGVC, sorry to go on about this, but I'm confused as to why you would have to stay off your computer because of spoilers when you are apparently located on the East Coast. East Coast sees everything first. That said, I agree with you and do stay off the board if it's something important to me. AI isn't that important to me, but that doesn't stop me from being irritated when I read a spoiler.

Since when does posting that you are bothered by something mean you think it's the end of the world?

Instead of posting a seperate thread about it can't it all be kept to the officail AI thread. I didnt read her post but I knew what it was. I didn't want to open it because I didn't want to find out the 3. But I was bummed I found out beforehand
So, could we just stick to the official thread for all comments and such.

Maybe if I typed it more slowly...

I don't always get the chance to watch the show as it airs - sometimes my life gets in the way and I have to watch a tape of it later. I certainly wouldn't surf the 'Net if I was going to be bothered by someone telling me the outcome of the show, because as I said, AOL is NOTORIOUS for putting up spoilers rather quickly.
