I don't blame American Idol though; I blame the network for moving them. I think they should have left it right at 9:00p. It did fine for the past 2 season against American Idol. I also think they shouldn't have had a 3 month break between new shows and lastly I think they leave too many un-answered questions...but I still LOVE the show and 12.8 million viewers ain't so bad!

I think moving it to 10pm makes a difference too. I hate that its on so late now.

Man, I will be so peeved at ABC if they pull Lost off the air prematurely. I rarely get my dander up about such things, but when story lines are not allowed to play out it isn't fair to the viewers. Classic example of this was HBO's Carnivale -above average show that went poof exactly one year too early. Besides what else is ABC going to put on that draws even 12 million viewers? Probably more of that estrogen-heavy drollery such as What About Brian and Men in Trees that I refuse to watch. YMMV

I blame the network and not the show. They should have left it at 9p.m. Everything was just fine until this season. First, they only show 6 episodes and then they change the time slot. ABC has messed up and they need to do something before this show really gets lost.

I never watch AI until it gets down to the last 10 (or is it 12??), anyhow, I stay up for lost and then I'm completely exhausted the next day....I really don't need to, we have a dvr, but I've got to know what is going on, on that Island, lol.

After Chris Daughtry got voted off last year I stopped watching all together.

I think the fact that the whole first half of the season was all Kate,Jack and Sawyer turned a lot of people off, I know I got sick of seeing them. Then this week I thought we'd finally get to see all the old people and it was the Desmond show. My Lost love is gone, I watch only out of habit now.

I love Lost and had never missed a show until this past Wednesday. I get up every morning at 5:45, get the kids off to school, go to work, get the kids from school blah blah blah...By 10, I am out like a light. It was so much better when it was on at 9:00.

It's a shame the network has messed it up so bad. This past week's episode IMO was one of the very best ever. NOt only did we FINALLY get away from Jack, Sawyer and Kate, but we got -what I think -are major clues about how the whole thing is going to end. Matter of fact, the way they tipped their hand this week it makes me think this final 16 may be the end of the series.

Interestingly, the show had it's highest ratings in it's first season when it aired at 8 pm EST. As it has moved to later and later in the evening, the ratings have steadily declined.

OMG, I agree! I don't watch Lost or American Idol, but I did watch Huff (I think it was on Showtime or HBO) and now that it is cancelled I really really don't know if I can go on without knowing what happens to those characters! I swear, it's making me so depressed.

They should have to give us one final wrap up show, or at least have the writers create a website with the storyline.

I don't watch it at all anymore, except here and there when DH is watching it on the TIVO. It's just gotten really boring IMHO. The first 2 seasons were great, but this season is a snooze. I totally lost interest during the 3 month break also.

I think I'm the only one who liked the split season. I woud have rather have about 8 solid episodes, than the very poor 6 episodes we got, but honestly I don't want much TV during the holidays and with final exams and year end stuff, it's nice to get a break LOL!

I do think they should have shown reruns during the break. Not sure why they chose to show "Day Break."

I think the show has gotten a little complicated...it's just not as "fun" to watch anymore. They aren't moving it forward fast enough. I'd also like some really SOLID answers! I'm tired of the convoluted, semi-answers that "hint" but don't actually tell you much. This past episode was alright but it just seems to pose more questions.

first, before anyone asks, i am a Lost watcher.

so, #1 Lost seemed to be doing better last season when it was up against AI. if they were still getting viewers in the 20 million mark, they probably should have kept the same time slot. 10 is just too late for some people during the week. a lot of people just TiVo it and watch it at another time.

#2 Lost is still moving too slow. they've been saying "the answers you've been looking for!" for 2 seasons now. so i'm betting next week isn't really going to show us anything THAT massive.

I DVR Lost now because the storyline is losing me. AI is at the very beginning and people are just trying to find out who's going to compete. They will get their best ratings now, level off, then back up toward the end. ABC thought they could compete but will probably realize SOON that it's a ... ahem... LOST cause!
