American Idol Experience Closing?

I'm happy for this. I think its for the best amd hopefully something exciting will be replacing it. Star Wars seems to be a high candidate for occupying that spot given some of the attractions around the AI Experience.

I attended a showing a few weeks ago and there were only 2 contestants instead of 3. I've always enjoyed the attraction.

I always enjoyed American Idol. We always went to the last show when the day's winners performed.

Wasn't there a rumor that they were putting a Frozen Sing-a-Long in there?

The rumor originally was JTA then it changed to Frozen Sing-Along. Nothing definite or official has been mentioned.

It's closing today. Here is my Nephew on the stage a couple of years ago. I'm actually going to miss it. It was also fun getting to go backstage for the audition process and getting in the empty theatre for the dress rehearsal.

Since it opened we only went once to see people perform. It was an ok attraction/show. I am actually happy to see it go.

My son begged me to audition on our trip in 2009. I am a Broadway type singer and I told him I wouldn't make it but he wanted me to do it so badly. So I took him in with me for the audition so he could watch and I actually made the stage show! It was such a cool experience for me, having my make-up done, working with a vocal coach and listening to what the judges had to say but really the audience was empty. Maybe 50 people total in my show. It was a lot of fun but I am excited for something new too!

There was a permit filed a couple days ago for removal of the American Idol signs. This would support the idea that something is coming in the near future.

I agree; I thought it was an odd decision at the time. The ratings were already dropping when it opened in 2009.

They are typically late to the party on tie ins...

Works in their favor longterm for some parks...studios not being a case.
