American Idol Concert/Film Time

For those that have been at Aulani when they have American Idol filming, when do they have the concerts? Is it a middle of the day thing, sunset thing, or night thing? We’re trying to plan for some excursions with friends and don’t want them to miss out. Mahalo.

Never been there but here is a recent thead about American Idol/Aulani. Some found it fun to watch others say it was annoying. When watching at home on TV, I can recall some parts of the performances during the day and others when it was dark outside. I assume it is spread over several hours/days based on the number of performers. Obviously, there is also setup time for the stage/lighting/equipment and rehearsals.

I would assume anything being recorded for broadcast takes a LOT longer to produce compared to what you see on TV.
