American Girl packaging?

How does American Girl mark their packages? We will be receiving 2 AG dolls soon, so just want to make sure I don't need to be extra careful that my girls do not see the box when they are delivered. Does it have AG plastered all over it, or is it more of a plain box.

If you checked the gift box when you purchased the dolls. It will come in a plain brown box. But, the mailing sticker will say American Girl, but you will have to really be looking to see it.

I just ordered one and didnt have to mark as a gift, it came in a plain brown box. The return label does say American Girl so you will have to mark it out with a sharpie to be on the safe side.

Do you know how the dolls are being shipped? If they are being shipped fedex ground - If you have been provided with the FedEx tracking number, you can go into the fedex website and have them "directed" to ship to the nearest FEDEX kinko's instead, and then you can pick them up when it is most convenient for you!

They use smart post for most of their shipments that use the free shipping codes. Starts outs with FedEx and then gets switched over to your local post office for delivery.

The boxes are plain but the shipping labels do say they are from American girl, so there is the possibility they will notice who it is from. You might want to keep an eye out for the packages and get them hidden after delivery.

I hate how FedEx does this. I've had multiple packages lost that way. And they once delivered the doll to the wrong house! I had to make all these phone calls, and no one knew where it was at. Of course it was at another house on our street, and they were too ignorant to bring it down to our house - they had it sitting in their living room. This was over a decade ago, and I'm still cranky about it, LOL!

I have never had any packages lost with smart post but I do hate that it takes an extra day or two to get my stuff. I know my package is in town but I can't have it because they have to do the switchover to the post office and that can take up to 48 hours. I don't find it very smart so I roll my eyes every time I see it is used.
