American Girl Back ordered merchandise

Since I am still fairly new to American Girl I went ahead and ordered several items that are on back order with the free shipping. For those of you who have done this have you actually gotten your merchandise? I am wondering if I should just cancel the items and order the items I know are in stock even though they aren't my daughter's first choice.

I've never had a problem receiving backordered items from AG, often it comes well before the stated backorder date (though not always) and they break orders into multiple shipments all the time, so you should receive any in stock stuff right away. Just keep a copy of your order and monitor what you have received and when so you can contact them if you do have questions down the road.

I've always been satisfied with how timely we receive backordered items.

My last order had 2 back ordered itmes on it. The Julie's sound accessories wasn't suppose to be in until March 29th or so and we already got those items. I was happy because one was for a birthday on the 29th.

I took a chance and it paid off.

my bff ordered my daughter the flower girl dress b/c i was close to the one she was wearing in her wedding and it was back ordered. it arrived like a week later . my g-ma ordered mia's ice skates and stuff and it said it wasn't suppose to come in till after christmas and it was here on time for her to open. my g-ma was going to put the pic in a box but didn't have to.
