I was at Costco yesterday and they had Samantha. Comes with two outfits for $119. Also had pets (dogs) and a horse. The horse was $49.
The new management at AG is looking to get the merchandise into more people's hands to hook them and make the brand more accessible. They have AG at Costco, Girl of the Year, Wellie Wishers and crafts at Kohl's, and Truly Me and Wellie Wishers at select Toys R' Us.
Has anyone seen the $100 AG gift cards for $79.99 at their costco recently? They had them a few months ago and last christmas but I have been checking every week with no luck.
I personally wouldn't buy the Samantha set at costco, The party dress that comes with it doesn't exists on AG's site. (It almost seems like when big names stores make things specifically or the outlets) It also doesn't come with the doll box or boxes or the clothes.
I'm not saying don't buy it, I just wanted people to realize what they are buying.
That stinks that they discontinued selling the gift cards there. The 20% off with the gift cards made the dolls/accessories so much more affordable. Thanks for the info. When they sold caroline there (that's where I bought my daughters) it included the doll box & the box for the extra dress. it isn't important to everyone that the boxes aren't included but it matters to me. I have kept all the doll/accessories boxes for my daughters collection so when she outgrows them, I can store them in them.AG has discontinued the GC sales at Costco. The dress included in the Samantha set is an exclusive and is only available through the Costco set. The Samantha set is a fantastic deal and there is no difference in quality to what you would buy direct from AG. Rumor is that Samantha will go back into the archives so AG is selling off overstock like they did with Caroline before she retired last year.

I think Mattel "cheapened" the brand years ago. The quality is nothing like it used to be.I saw Lea at Kohls yesterday too. Hoping this doesn't "cheapen" the brand.
