:cool1: Hi i was just looking at the thread about where to get british food, but was wondering what american foods everyone thinks is a must to try. We are staying at POP but have a car so will be making use of the local supermarkets. popcorn:: :drinking:

i have not had one yet and i am not sure if its american but bloomin onion seems very popular on here and one of the more stranger looking meals if you try a search you can probably find a picture,i am hoping they taste better than they look:eek:

I never eat burgers in the UK but love their burgers with the toppings bar, mmmm! yummy, extra fried onions, mushrooms, loads of salad.....

also love DOLE WHIPS!!
Waffles/pancakes
oooh, too much to mention

American burgers, dole whips, peanut butter, grape jelly, pancakes, rocky road ice-cream. My mind has went blank now since I am drooling so much.

definatly go to a pancake or waffle house while your there.....yummy:goodvibes

Chocolate Chip pancakes from IHOP (actually, anything from IHOP!)

Loaded fries from Chequers ( the only one i know is at the entrance to Old Town in Kissimee) paricularly the cheese and bacon ones:worship: :worship:

Our vote is for pancakes! definately smuthered in sauces, fruit and syrups.
We also love drinking Mountain Dew - it used to be here in the Uk in the early 90's lol - no I sound old!

They had a new flavour of Sprite last summer - i think it was call Aruba - it was a berry flavour and it was lovely

Cinnamon and Raisen bagels - great toasted with plenty of butter.

For me it has to be...CINNABON!!

We always love going to the supermarket for our favourites, a few are Peanut butter, hate this stuff back home:rotfl: but theirs is so good!
We all love their cookies especially the Chocolate cream Oreos, Chip ahoy cookies especially with white fudge pieces :cloud9: and Teddy Graham's these are great for nibbling on in the parks.
We always buy some ice cream plus smuckers hot fudge sauce which we get an extra bottle to bring home!
My DD loves smores too, chocolate chip pancakes and peeps which are very sweet:scared:

We just love trying new things too, our trolley is over flowing by the time we leave!:thumbsup2

Made me want to go back now

I am completely the same... :)

Definitely try the different flavour sodas: "root beer" can be very nice, grape soda, maybe cream soda... different things that you don't get over here. Maybe an ice cream float? Their milkshakes and malts are rather wicke (heart attack in a glass...).

"Gummy Lifesavers" (soft chewy jelly sweets) - the berry flavoured bags are even better.

Cinnabons definitely - we tend to split one because the icing they smear across the top is SOOOOOOO sweet.

Churos (like a long, thin crispy donut)

Ribs - BBQ smoothered ribs.... rarely get good ones in this country.

As someone said, "bloomin onion" (like a BIG opened up deep fried onion with a slightly spicy dip). Available at the "Outback Steakhouse" (which also does good ribs...)

If it is within budget, go for a GOOD steak at a "proper steakhouse" (like Shula's - http://www.donshula.com/ - they have one at the Dolphin hotel) - it will blow away any steak you have ever had in the UK...

"Dippin Dots" (http://www.dippindots.com/) - there are sometimes small stalls selling them at some of the theme parks (probably more Universal than Disney though).

Oh and DEFINITELY go to e Tepanyaki restaurant. There is one in EPCOT Japan or you could go to the Kobe Steakhouse (http://www.kobesteakhouse.com/). It is more than just a restaurant, it is a dining experience :)

Have fun :)

Boo

:thumbsup2 Thanks for all the replys. All the food mentioned sounds real yummy! I think our trolley will be overflowing with food!:rotfl2:

well buzz looks like you have lots of ideas here. If your a peanut butter fan you should try reeces cups.yum:love: I've also heard that you can get a peanut butter and jelly pizza for breakfast. Mini donuts at the water park are a must as well:thumbsup2 Looks like we will be there at the same time
:woohoo: :p :mickeyjum

Cherry flavoured Mountain Dew is my favourite drink out there. Always bring a few back with me.

Can't beat an onion loaf for a starter at Tony Romas.

Lifesaver sweets are the best, especially the hard cherry ones.

Brownies

My brother is a big fan of the Dippin' Dots ice cream.

I always used to have a Churro sometime during the holiday but in recent years i have struggled to find them, anyone care to tell me a place or 2 to get one?

thanks, MikeyF
