I was watching a vlog on youtube that was during Mardi Gras and saw something I've never seen before. They had a roped off area for American Express card holders, kinda like the lounge, that you could watch the Mardi Gras parade from. I'm assuming that this is new and wonder if they will be doing this more going forward for other parades and possibly the HP projection shows. What do you guys think?

Actually, I think they have been doing it for a few years (found threads back in 2014/15 referring to it.) For more info from Universal on this: https://www.universalorlando.com/web/en/us/corporate-partners/american-express/index.html

Note that earlier in the week, my daughter and I were lucky enough to get last minute assignments to be in the parade (i.e. be on a float and throw out beads.) I did notice the Amex area as we were going by (close to the old T2 ride area). It was fairly empty. So it might be of benefit on a crowded night.

Whoa! Really? Anyone have more info on this? We will be there for crazy busy weekend and would love a less hectic parade viewing spot.
