I was just on the American Express site and for kicks I went to the travel section and input my upcoming October trip and got the following results:

PRICE INCLUDES: 1 standard european plan room(s), 7 night(s)hotel, 2 round trip flight tickets, transfer airport to coronado, transfer coronado to airport, disney's coronado springs, hotel and airline taxes, regulatory surcharges. $1584.00 for seven nights and airfair and this is cheaper than my AAA rates with NO flights as we are driving, or are we now hehehe got to talk to my DH..

Looked like all the Value and Moderates were listed with, didnt see any Deluxe resorts, just thought I would share.

Did the AmEx price also include park passes? I don't see them included in your list. That would add a substantial cost the to total.

Keep in mind that Disney transportation to/from the airport will be free for all guests staying onsite beginning 05/05/05. AmEx really isn't "giving" you anything there. You would get the same with any Disney resort ressie.

7 nights at a moderate resort in October (regular season) with tax would run you about $1163 (rack rate). That would leave the airfare portion of the trip at about $420 for 2 RT tickets. I'm not sure where you are in VA, but you could probably book your own airfare for that price or less. Typical airfare from Philly runs at about $198 RT or less (before taxes and fees).
