American express lounge not closing

I stopped into the american express lounge today and I was told the lounge is not closing. The gentlemen I spoke with said people get confused because their receipts have an expiration date.

he also told me american express renewed their contract and the carpeting is going to be replaced next week.

the lounge itself is a nice hidden benefit.. Cold water and chips and a few minutes from the sun makes all the difference

can you give me information on this? Does it work similar to the Disney Visa private meeting and greet where you show your card to get in, but this is a lounge for AmEx holders?

Experienced ax loungers here. First of all the Ax lounge is just across from the shrek 4d exit. Look for the little ax sign on wall. Second, u must purchase multi-day or annual pass tickets using your ax card. To gain access, u will show your pass, ax card and photo id. They will pull up your purchase in the computer to confirm u paid with ax.

Another question - is it for your whole party?

I bought my AP last fall before I got my AMEX but I'm going to be buying DD an AP soon. If I use my AMEX for hers can we both get in the lounge or just her?

Hmmm wondering ... I booked our trip as a vacation package directly through Universal. I actually did a deposit on one card and the rest on an Amex. The package included 4 day park passes ... with a 'portion' on it, does anyone know if this counts?

Other people have reported that they just showed their card and they were allowed in.

We were there day before yesterday. They asked for the AMEX card and a park ticket. Nothing was said about buying the ticket with the card. It was a great place to spend a little while resting. They offered water, chips and granola bars. It was air conditioned and had a nice clean bathroom available for use.
