I just ordered an american express gold rewards card so I can get the 25000 free rewards points to qualify for one free flight. All I gotta do is charge 500 in the next 3 months to get it.

We love our Gold Amex through Scotiabank. The welcome deal wasn't quite that good for us - basically $250 in points for joining. But, we took a trip three months later, and the amount of points we had paid for our park passes!

I was hoping to have enough points to cover the yearly fee in January, but sadly I haven't spent enough money.. lol. We mainly got it for the awesome trip cancellation coverage.

You can also get 30K Aeroplan points with the Amex Aeroplan Gold card and they wave the annual fee for the first year!! You need to be referred by another cardholder first
