hi, dh has just realized that we will be in orlando for this years presidential election, but we dont know what to expect, are the parks busy on this day or not, do the shops close or does everything remain exactly the same as usual, hope this makes sense!! susie

Hi Susie, apparently, as currycook says, the election has no impact whatsoever and it is unlikely you would know it is going on unless you watch the TV. (Just like here then!)

Election day isn't a holiday here, school is in and everyone still has to work. People vote before work, after work or on their lunch. Actually, only 50% of adults even vote. That makes me mad! Anyway, it won't make a differance at the parks. Have fun!

You made me laugh! Please pray that this isn't going to happen again.

Susie, you could skip the parks and glue yourself to a telly to watch returns. It's kinda fun to watch the networks try and beat each other in predicating who won which state.

On the bright side, they may issue a cool, limited edition pin for the election.
