American Airlines - Distruption

Hi everyone.

We have jsut had a travel alert at work on all AA flights to and from usa, there is a note of pending industrial action by pilots and we have been advised to change any flights to the USA to a different carrier in the coming weeks.

The workers union has asked its members for a vote on action, no decision has been taken yet.

If anyone here is flying AA might be worth a call to reconfirm that your flight is still going ahead.

Miami, Chicago, LA, Dallas Fort Worth and JFK are all expected to be disrupted if strike action goes ahead.

Heard this on Sky news this morning.
We don't fly for 6 weeks so I will keep an eye on developments, hope they sort it out.

good thing my flight is on delta this time.

there have been AA flights cancelled inside the US, but i don't know if they've cancelled any of their international flights.

but they're moving passengers around...it's not as if they abandon you...

so far they've only cancelled 1% to 2% of their flights to cope with the job action by the pilots...
