Does anyone else cry during The American Adventure?

I can't help it. I always tear up during the Civil War, especially when Two Brothers starts up. And during the song at the end, there's two pictures that always make me tear up. When the soldier is on crutches and is walking by wall with the names in it, and when another soldier is leaning against the wall crying.

I love this show, and I was just listening it to audio from it. I just wanted to know if I am just overly emotional or if there are other softies out there like me. ;)

I get abit choked up at it. The combination of everything plus that fantastic music always gets to me.

Oh man! I cry at a lot of things in DisneyWorld but this one with the worst!! That song at the end with the montage!! It just tears me up. I always leave that show saying, "I love America!!!"

Oh my, I definitely get choked up. Especially when they show the astronauts and that teacher all excited and ready to go on The Challenger. I was only 4, I think at the time, and I don't remember it, but my mom told me about it when I was a little older, and the tragedy of it. Especially that young teacher, and her class watching it...I get so choked up at that part.

Also when they show the Vietnam Wall, Walt of course, Jim Henson, and Lucille Ball.

Then, when they show the World Trade Center in the bg at the end....

Oh good Lord, I'm getting choked up just thinking about it!

That show certainly packs an emotional wallop, doesn't it? So great...

I have to make sure I have my handkerchief out or a handful of napkins before I walk in. They get to the montage at the end and look out below. DW thinks it's funny, but in an endearing way

Count me in as a softie -- the montage at the end gets me every time!

OK....What attraction is this? I haven't heard of it and it sounds like something I need to got to!

Darling, you have to see this. It's at the American pavillion in EPCOT's World Showcase. I'm guessing you've walked right by the building without even realizing what's inside it since there's no que line outside.

While I may not tear up, there are definitely some chill-inducing spots. I have the "original" Epcot soundtrack with the "America, you must keep dreaming now" song and it does it to me occasionally.

I didn't get to go to AA the last time I was there... I did sneak in Hall of Presidents with my DD1 while DW and DD4 were riding something else. I hadn't done that one in a while, but AA is far better.

My friend has a tendency to sing songs out of nowhere. He is a big disney fan and won't mind singing songs from Disney like Golden Dream or the music from Splash Mountain. One minute you are having a normal conversation with him, the next minute, you think he is a member of The Liberty Voices.

Have they edited the final film to include the WTC?

If I'm not mistaken, I think they edited out the World Trade Center from the end of the movie. I just saw it this past week and I didn't see it and I was looking for it. Has anybody else noticed that?

Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one -- I always try to hide it, because it seems so silly.

I sure do. I used the song Golden Dream to start my ceremony when I retired from the Air Force in 2004. There wasn't a dry eye in the place. Many had never heard it before and everyone thought it really captured why we serve in the first place.

Add me to the list. I always get teary during the two brothers part and at the end.

Ofcourse I do!! Last year my daughter had to create a powerpoint presentation on American History and we found the song, downloaded it and used it in her presentation. She got an A and her history teacher kept it to use in coming years as an example.
I think the REAL question is. . . can you be an american and NOT come out teary eyed?

It is one of our most favorites things at Disney right from the singers downstairs ( when I retire that would be my absoulte dream job). The song at the end of the show gets us teary every time! We have the music and listen often in the car.
