American Ab Fab

I don't know how they could do better than the original, or even as well. Just rerun those!

I'm not sure what's worse: This, or making sequels of Disney classics. It cheapens the brand. :confused3

I would vote this!! After all who could do justice to edina and patsy, really? Instead of remaking can't they just make more?
:hippie:

I'm not going to hold my breathe, but the american version of The Office turned out great. Not all of the British shows work here. Who knows how this one will turn out. I don't have high hopes.

Now I must go home and watch reruns of the original.

I guess the Office is one that did well, but Kath and Kim and Coupling did not.

Neither did the American version of Graham Norton and HE was still the talk show host.

when / where is this supposed to air? I loved the original! They were talking back in the 90's to make an american version with Roseanne Barr..

I don't really watch LOGO much. Did the American version "tone down" the topics he talked about so the censors' heads wouldn't explode?

And what about Bubble?

I love Gram too. :)
And almost anything on BBC.

Actually his show here in America took place in NYC and was on Comedy Central and it was called So Graham!

He did get away with pretty much any topic and they just bleeped the cuss words. It was slightly toned down, but there was just something about it that wasn't like his British show. Something was missing.

I watched his show recently on BBC America and it's still hilarious as ever and even MORE irreverent. :)

I have never really like British humor much. Ab Fab had it's moments and I love Tracy Ullman and Eddie Izzard, but the rest of it just fall flat for me. :confused3

She did by the rights but never did anything with it.

I guess the new Bubble is actually gojng to be someone smart instead of the ....... colorful character that was.

Really! I love all things British. I think BBC is the channel most on in our home. Well that and LOGO. My favorite movies tend to be also.

Bubble can't be SMART! She has to be....well...Bubble.

That's the problem with bringing shows over here, they change things that worked in the originals.

Sweetie Darling.....

I love the orriginal, and will watch this.....at least give it a try!

Is Roseanne involved? I thought she owned the American rights to this show.. :confused3
