America West or Continental

Please help me. I can get a good price on airfare in July and August on America West or Continental and want to book as soon as possible but I'm nervous because I don't really know either of these airlines. Does anyone know what kond of condition these airlines are in? Are either in money trouble or close to bankruptcy? I'm afraid to buy our tickets now and have the company go under by the time we go on vacation. This already happened to me two years ago with Canada 3000.

They are both about as strong as any other U.S airline, which is not all that great. Airlines still operate during bankruptcy proceedings, so I don't see why either of them would not be operating come July. I would choose the airline that offers you the most convenient flight times and not worry too much about the economic health of the companies.
