America West Airlines

We're conisdering flying America West to Honolulu this summer. I haven't read or heard much about this company. Can anyone give me some insight into them--history of bumping, cancelling, anything that would affect my decision to fly them/ Thanks for any info.

I've flown America West several times from Chicago to Phoenix and Las Vegas. We've always had good service. Friendly employees, flights on-time from what I remember, and relatively cheap fares. I wouldn't hesitate to fly with them if the schedules and fares fit my needs.

I flew them from RDU to San Diego not too long after they frist started flying out of RDU. As i remember, there were no problems. Didn't ahve a movie, but I got over it. I connected in Phoenix on the way out and Vegas on the way back.

They are like most airlines, they can be good, they can be bad. I've had both experiences with them, but usually they have the fares you need, lots of times they are non-stop, so I would say yes, give them a try.
