AMC Theaters at Downtown Disney?

Just to see what I could find, I was checking the listings for the theaters at Downtown Disney -- the dates I was curious about didn't have information on the site yet. However, I saw something about dining in the theaters???
The one I was curious about was referred to as Fork & Screen -- casual dining such as sandwiches, burgers, appetizers, fish & chips, etc.
Has anyone experienced this? The food prices weren't any worse than any Disney dining, but I didn't see anything about ticket prices.
Anyone know if it's worth the time/money? I was thinking if we had a totally rainy day during our week, that a movie at some point might be fun.
Just wondering............

You buy a movie ticket for the regular price, then order food in the theater, just like ordering in a restaurant.

It's not bad, the kind of food you might expect from a chain restaurant. Was kind of fun to sit and watch Catching Fire with a bottle of wine. Might do Mockingjay I the same way.

We saw "Gravity" in a Fork & Screen theater last fall, and the tickets cost more than those for "Gravity" in a regular/non-F&S theater. That may be because we were watching a 3-D version of the movie, though...

We didn't eat during the movie (that showing was the only one that fit our schedule for the day), but the couple seated next to us did and the food looked fine. Nothing fancy, but akin to what you'd find in a chain, as the PP stated. The seats sure were comfy!

There is a menu on that page. I'd totally watch a movie like this! :)

NOTE: Dine-In movies have been around for a while. They haven't had much change. As
with most others. AMC at Downtown Disney does have average food quality. As a reference,
think Chili's or Applebee's for a comparison. The Wings are quite tasty, as is the Crab Rangoon
Dip. The food is slightly high priced, but one would expect this. Some may not feel it, but I
thought the waiters did disturb the viewing. They are not noisy, but the walking is definitely
a distraction. At home someone getting up for eats is OK, but when paying a high price for
a movie, it does get on the nerves a little.

We saw Saving Mr. Banks at the Fork & Screen and LOVED the experience. I highly recommend ordering something not too messy as it's pretty dark in there.

It's a great experience. Highly recommend it!

Thanks for the replies and feedback. I had checked the menus while I was looking at the site and I figured it would be pretty much chain restaurant food, but that's okay. Usually we get a large soft drink to share and a large popcorn. No big deal about eating.
We don't have any of the eat and dine AMC theaters close by, but then we lived in a small town.
Might try it if we can decide close to the time of the movie showing. Don't want to buy tickets ahead and then find we have a gorgeous day to do Disney!
:cool2:
