Amc dine-in theater

Does anyone know anything about the new amc dine-in theater? Is it on the dinning plan?

It is NOT on the dining plan.

It's AMC, completely separate from Disney World. Therefore, no dining plan.

Does anyone know anything about the new amc dine-in theater?

1) We had one of these is Arkansas.
2) The idea was pretty clever.
. . . you sat in normal seats, but with a shelf in front of it
. . . you hit a touch paid to order burger, drinks, etc
. . . a waitress brought the food and swiped your credit card
. . . you could eat and watch a movie
3) The theater was re-converted to a normal theater.
4) It just didn't work out
. . . movie was very light so you could see food
. . . people talking during the movie as to what the other was ordering
. . . too much talking to the waitress
. . . never noticed before how noisy people eat and "chomp" their food
. . . lots of expletives when people dropped their food

NOTE:
A good idea that went sour.
Sure, some still liked it.
But, it became sparsely attended.

We have had a dine in movie theater on Marco Island for 15 years and it works out just fine, we go all the time. The movie is not light at all, actually it feels like any other movie except we are eating a pizza!

I've been to cinema restaurants before. Doesn't mean it won't work at WDW. But yes, you have to allow for talking and eating during the movie.

We have . . . on Marco Island for 15 years and it works out just fine . . .

1) We are taking a week at Marco next month.
2) Maybe we will try it.

They've converted a lot of our AMC theatres to this here in NJ. DH and I LOVE it! We will never be able to see a movie any other way than in a cinema suite. The ones by us require you to be 21 to be in the suite. The chair is sooo ridiculously comfortable too. Never heard people eating to loudly, cursing, talking, etc. We love it and see movies this way whenever we can now.

I haven't been to a movie in years where they *didn't* have talking and eating. It's the main reason I rarely go to them anymore.

Now we have cell phone lights and texting/talking as well!

That said, I do enjoy the WDW theatres - maybe people are just nicer there or else I'm in such a good mood to be there that I don't notice it as much.

Looking forward to trying the new AMC Dine-In.

We just noticed this yesterday when we went to DTD and were going to try it out, but none of the movies available with the dining interested us so we went to Paradisu 37. We really wanted to try it out for the experience. Im guessing the movie tickets are more expensive for the added luxury. Can anyone share the pricing of tickets and food? Very interested in knowing. Thanks in advance!

The AMC by us (also NJ, Menlo Park mall) converted and it is totally awesome!!! There are two types of theaters. They both have huge, comfy chairs but the cinema suites (like a pp mentioned) are ridiculous! You can recline all the way back with your feet up. I swear, I could've went to sleep! The food is pretty good and having a beer with watching a new release on the big screen in those big comfy seats is just amazing! Obviously, the theaters fit much less people than regular theaters. Probably only 10 or 12 seats per row and maybe only 10 or 12 rows. Not at all distracted by lights or talking.

Yeah, we have two near me, one has been around for over 15 years the other one for about five years. They both do very well. I am pretty sure there are more in the metro area, but those two are very near me.

We love it, back when our kids were younger, it was a great way to see a movie, have dinner and pay two hours less to the sitter!

Movies have always been normal in lighting and they have it down to a science where the servers are so discreet you don't really notice them. Also its sort of tiered so you don't have tables and servers right in front of you.

Love it, so glad they added one to WDW!

If it's the same as the one near me...yes you can!! In fact, last time we got there pretty early so we sat at the bar and got a drink. They had the same food menu there too. We were even allowed to take our drinks from the bar into the theater. But you can sit in the bar/lounge area before the place where they check your tickets.

That would be great. Another place in DTD to sit and have a drink and some app type food!

As well as being able to keep stay cool while in that theatre.
