Amazon Returns?

I was wondering how easy it is to return an item to Amazon. Do they require a certain carrier? How long before a refund is credited? I bought a 8gb iPod on Friday for $134.99, and it has already shipped. This week, Target has the 16gb for $175 plus there is a 10% off coupon. I also have a $10 off $100 coupon (not sure if they can both be used at the same time). This seems like a much better deal, but I'm wondering if it would be worth the hassle to buy at Target and return to Amazon. What has been your experience with Amazon returns?

Amazon returns are pretty easy. As I recall, you go into your account info and print a return address label, then take it to the Post Office. You get your credit back when they receive the item with a deduction for shipping and handling (if the item isn't returned for defect).

you have to pay return shipping if you don't want the item, but they refund very quickly.

you don't have to pay if something is wrong with the item.

i've never had a problem returning anything to amazon. i love amazon. i'm a prime member, and it's awesome.

So the return label is prepaid? That would make things easier. Is the deducted shipping rate reasonable?
