Amazon prime visa card?

Anyone have this and would you recommend? I dont know of any way to get any bonus points on amazon purchases. I have chase - sapphire reserve which I use for dining and travel and use UR points towards flights , as well as disney visa and my DH's united mastercard.
I am looking into the amazon card and I can get 5% back at both AMAZON and WHOLEFOODS with it. I spend a few hundred per month at amazon. Think its worth it? No annual fee.
2% back at drugstores also

its worth it if u spend a lot with amazon. When u redeem your points, makes sure u do statement credit.

The only other card i know that does 5% on amazon is a business card, the Chase Ink Cash. but that requires you to buy an amazon gift card at a an office supply store and redeem online. You can then take that points to your Reserve.

I have an Amazon Prime visa and use it for every Amazon purchase. I use Amazon all the time and the 5% is worth it to me. Especially with no annual fee. I tend to use my Chase Freedom for regular purchases.

It sounds like a good card for you. I have had it for the card for maybe 10 years - we buy alot on Amazon too since we live in a small town that doesn't have much choice when it comes to shopping.

It's great for Amazon purchases as it gives you points towards future purchases when used for eligible purchases. If you travel abroad, it also has no international transaction fees which can save money compared to other cards which often charge a % of the purchase as a transaction fee.

also gives 2% cash back for gas stations, restaurants and drug stores.

I order quite a bit of stuff for my office from Amazon, use the credit card, get reimbursed and keep the 5% rewards.

I am assuming you already have amazon prime? If not, one way to evaluate this card is to see if your earnings from purchases will cover the cost of prime. In effect the prime fee is the annual cost of this card. But if you are already paying for prime and happy with that decision, then anything you earn with the card is free and clear!

Do you do most of your grocery shopping at Whole Foods or just drop in there occasionally as I do for maybe $200 bucks a year? I personally like @Albort's idea of the CIC and I think that's no annual fee as well with a current higher bonus right now.

I do a fair amount as many things there are cheaper than the regular stores (I live in NYC) but not a huge amount... I dont have a business so cant get CIC....

Just trying to decide if its worth it for something that would only be used at a select few places. I guess I should actually tally how much I am spending at Amazon.

If you've ever sold something on Ebay, you can probably create a home business profile.

Getting credit cards are an individual decision as how you utilize them will determine if they are beneficial for you. The important thing is to try to avoid running a balance - I pay off everything I buy with my CC's as soon as the charge posts.

I see nothing wrong with you getting the Amazon card if it doesn't block you from getting other cards that you may want. If you spend a few hundred a month at Amazon, at 5%, that is somewhere in the $150 to $200 cash back a year range for your Amazon purchases and then add on what you spend at WF and drug stores. I'd keep my other spend on the Sapphire card, and I would put minimal on the Disney card - just enough to keep it alive to use for any Disney specials.
