Hi
Would be grateful of some advice re Amazon Prime Now. If you have a Prime account in the UK, can you use Amazon Prime Now to get groceries delivered to CSR?
I've gone on to the Prime Now site and was able to log in and select delivery address as CSR and it allowed me to save this information. We arrive at CSR on 22nd August.
Many thanks in advance for any help.

I only used it once for delivery at a resort and the person delivering got lost due to construction at the resort. Also Disney now charges fees for grocery deliveries.

Hi, we ordered groceries from Prime Now last fall for delivery to Wilderness Lodge. I was able to track the driver through the Prime Now app, and I received a notification when the driver was near and/or had arrived. Then I just met the driver outside and picked up our stuff. YMMV with respect to Bell Services allowing you to use their carts to wheel your delivery to your room. They were nice enough to let us borrow the cart (we had a case of water bottles, and other heavy items), but I have read recently from other DIS members that they were unable to use the carts (which I get; we may have just gotten lucky).

p.s. since we met the driver ourselves and picked up our own things, the resort had no reason to charge. I believe they only charge if the resort itself receives a delivery and has to store it, for example; but others can correct me if I am wrong.

I'm in the U.S. Also, when we ordered, I believe it was the day of. I just placed all the items in my cart ahead of time (acknowledging that prices, quantities, items, etc. may change) and placed the order when we were actually at the resort. So if you want to wait to place the order until you arrive, I think that would be ok. We had a mix-up with one item in our order, and after I called, they quickly corrected it, and sent out another driver with the correct order, at no extra charge (and gave me $5 credit for future purchase!). So they are pretty good if something goes wrong. Maybe a quick call to Amazon to discuss UK account vs. US account to see if there is anything you should be considering, would be helpful.

Thanks again for the response. Sounds like a good service. Let's hope it's available to UK members!

I'm guessing it's more driven by the destination of the delivery, rather than the origin of the Prime member. Good luck, and enjoy your upcoming trip! :-)

Thanks for the good wishes and all your useful advice. Can't wait to go now. We have 8 nights at CSR followed by 7 nights at Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal.

Oh wonderful! We just did our first trip to Universal this past spring (but we stayed offsite) and surprisingly (haha, we are big Disney fans), we had a great time. We really enjoyed the Harry Potter portions of the parks, and actually enjoyed the small footprint of Universal, in that we could easily move between Islands of Adventure and Studios (with CityWalk in between). We had park-to-park tickets, which is the only way to ride the HP train. If you haven't already checked them out, there are several good threads on Disboards for Universal. I felt like there was a dearth of touring plans for Universal, but after going, we realized that's probably because we really didn't need the level of planning that is required for Disney. Definitely check out the Chocolate Emporium at City Walk. We ate there twice and loved our meals and milk shakes (and the visits by people dressed up in steam punk costume; lots of fun).

You should have let me know!
We've done Universal a number of times and usually stay at Royal Pacific club level. Don't know how you found the queues but staying at RPR , Portofino Bay or Hard Rock Hotel is well worth it as express passes are included in the price and can be used on almost every ride.
Chocolate emporium is great and the Harry Potter rides and theming are amazing!
First time doing Disneyworld with our two boys - last time we went was before we had children(more than 20 years ago!). Our boys are big fans of thrill rides so enjoy Universal and places like Busch Gardens. Volcano Bay is also a fun day out providing the queues are not too long!
We've take them to Disneyland Paris a couple of times which we've really enjoyed but obviously doesn't compare to Disneyworld Orlando.
After watching YouTube videos of the various Disney parks, boys are getting very excited.
Bit taken aback by the Disney fast pass system in comparison to simplicity of Universal and how it has to be strategically planned but we've managed to get all the rides we wanted and were lucky to get three separate fastpasses for Flight of Passage which we can't wait to try!
Thanks again for all your help.

Oh good, so you’re a seasoned Universal visitor! That sounds fantastic, we will definitely look into staying onsite at Universal next time. We poked around Hard Rock a few times- you can’t beat the walk to/from Universal! That’s so exciting that your boys will experience Disney World for the first time! I hope you all have an amazing time! 3 separate FPs for FOP?! One of our favorite rides! I’ll never forget my youngest when he first rode- “Mommmeeeee this is the best ride!!” Have fun!!

Interesting....
Thanks for the idea! Never thought about this, but now will have to try it myself when we go later this year.

My understanding is that you have to have a USA Amazon Prime account to use the USA Amazon Prime Now.

I suggest contacting Amazon and asking them to confirm if you can't get someone here from the UK to confirm they have actually done it.

Instacart is an option. As are grocery delivery services like Dizzy Dolphin Delivery and Garden Grocer.
