Amazon price matching

I read an article today that said Amazon will be price matching the Black Friday sales. I didn't find anything on Amazon about it. Anyone hear of this, have they done it before, how does it work, any info at all? I'd be thrilled if I could order all the stuff I want to get on BF through Amazon without leaving my home!!!!!!

According to this link, it's only on TVs. Would be nice if it were on everything though.

We can hope that since so many of the BF ads are already out, Amazon will take a hint and lower prices to try to steal those people away.

I know that last year, they automatically dropped a lot of prices to match those of Toys R Us, Walmart, etc.

They are good about dropping prices to match. They tend to do it off an on year round.

I lucked out with them today.. I wanted the 2 new zhu zhu pets ds games an was going to get them from tru thanksgiving night for 14.99. Just got them from amazon for 16.50 no tax no shipping

Thanks, guess I'll put stuff in my cart and see what happens! We're going out on BF but NOT early, probably 9-10 o'clock. Nothing we have to have but would be nice. I figure this was if the store still has it, good, I got a deal, if not I saved the $$$$$

do you have a smartphone and the amazon app along with the barcode reader? Look like you can scan an product in the store and it will show you how much it is on amazon... I plan on doing this.. I must try it out first since I just discovered it last night.. bf isn't crazy busy around here small town not 100000 of people fighting so its actually a nice time out for us!

NEPA, gee, where are you at? Maybe I need to just visit your town! It's not terribly bad here either, but bad enough. My least favorite thing is just the waiting to check out. I hate that!

This app can be hit or miss. If it is an item produced exclusively for a store, then the barcode won't work because it's only available at that store. I have an Android phone and love the app, but am not always successful with it. You'll have to let us know what it works for you!

The last couple of years, I was able to buy all my BF items at amazon instead of the stores where I saw the ads. It wasn't advertised, I just looked. I hope this is true again this year because what I really want is at walmart but they've had bandwidth problems in the past on BF but amazon seems to be able to handle the high traffic.

I've had mine about a month and a half an still don't know how to use most of the stuff :> It was really easy to take a picture and it found similar items on Amazon. I didn't see how to put in a description, I put it in, found an item, but didn't see how to save it so I just went on Amazon and put the stuff on my wishlist... seeing if that works like the cart and shows the lowest price, not sure yet.

Ah, the smartphone thing didn't seem to work, I just put everything in my cart and kept checking it all day.

As for Amazon, I did make out well, but with them, Walmart, Target and other sites too. To me "price match" means if I show you that it's cheaper somewhere else you'll give me that price, which as far as I could tell is not what happened. They put a lot of their prices to those of the competitors, but not all. I got something at TRU that I've been watching for over a year on Amazon and all the stores, it was $9.99 at TRU, normally about $40. Amazon never dropped the price at all.

Amazon's low price guarantee is more show than reality. The tv I ordered went down in price on Amazon before they'd even shipped it. They shipped it while the price was lower. Yet they refused my low price guarantee claim because they said the price was "limited time" even though the webpage (which I have a printout of) didn't mention limited time.

I'm not happy with them. It was only $21 difference, but I think they were misleading. I'll hesitate to order from them next time.
