Hi..in all of our trips we have used Garden Grocer. I was wondering if anyone has used Walmart or amazon prime and how it went?

thanks
Lori

There is no extra fee for delivery to SSR. We used Prime Pantry last month for delivery to the Poly. It worked out great because all we needed were drinks, snacks and some breakfast stuff (dry cereal/oatmeal). GG and other local delivery services will deliver fresh food and frozen food too. Prime Pantry does not.

Amazon delivered on schedule. The box was waiting in our room upon our arrival. I would definitely use them again.

Waiting in your room, how did that happen since they don't know for sure which room you will be in? Is this new?

I did online check in because I had a late arriving flight. I received a text with my room # while boarding my flight to MCO. When I arrived at the resort, I went to a check in desk to try and pick up my package, which I knew had been delivered the day before, and I was told it was already in my room. When I went to my room, it was there. I was shocked to see it there. I've never had that happen before.

Where do you find the fee...or does anyone know what it would be for BLT?

I assume this fee is just for Amazon Pantry and WM as we have used GG before and I do not remember a resort fee.

Amazon is great as there is no min order (but a $5.99 flat fee per box).

We delivered pkgs to BLT this past week and it depends on the weight. One was 21 lbs and one was like 1 lb and we paid $8 for both.

The fee is not for local grocery deliveries, but, it is charged at all of the convention hotels (which have business centers) on any USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc. packages addressed to anyone staying at that resort since all packages go thru the business center. They've been doing this for years at those particular DVC resorts (BWV, BCV, VGF, and BLT) and also at the regular hotels which have convention facilities (GF, Contemp, YC and BC, BW and CS). We only had an issue on one occasion locating our package which was delivered by FedEx to BWV......it was delivered on Dec 30th......we were arriving on the 31st. When we arrived late afternoon on the 31st......no one at the front desk could locate the package. Turned out it was in the business center mailroom and since it was a holiday for the mailroom people no one had a key for the business center!! They ended up getting security to open up the business center to get our package which we had to have because our grandson was only about 18 months old and diapers, toddler food, etc were in the package.....along with our coffee and breakfast stuff.

When we went to Aulani last fall, I checked in online and also ordered a display of candy with Stitch and a chocolate surf-board. When we got to the room, the display was on the dresser waiting for us. When we first arrived at the resort we were greeted by a cast member with an iPad, who asked for our approval of the room location. Had we requested a change of rooms, I wonder how quickly they would have moved the candy display. In any case, online check-in and food delivery worked very well for us at Aulani.

This is a great idea. We also had Amazon items delivered to us during our stay at Aulani. No fees charged. Does Walmart delivery groceries, too? How does it compare to GG?
